setup > spliter > lead 1 to TV, lead 2 to hdmi/YPbPr converter to capture card
hdmi capture solutions for laptops are kinda spendy still. the matrox MX02 mini is about $500 and the AJA IO Express is closer to $1000
Yeah, adding video of the players and such during the match really makes things a bit more difficult. I think it would actually maybe even make more sense to just do a small show each week with clips and such throughout, maybe just to show the atmosphre of the scene and introduce some of the palyers? You could do post match interviews and thel ike. I think that sounds better than splicing it all together honestly.
Well, my PC is pretty portable so a PCI card isn’t out of the questio, I just haven’t found one worth a damn that isn’t 200$

Umm…as cool as Best Western is I was thinking that once the AfroDojo opens (I don’t know how much space there is) but couldn’t we consider having it there…(Just a thought I dunno how open you guys are) If we do we can consider the possibility of not having to worry about Setting and re-setting up every time and things could get done in a more early/timelier fashion…I know since Cole’s been sayin BBQ’s and stuff and I wouldn’t be against headin to Costco and grabbin some Burgers and Dogs and we could have food for cheap at the place…I know for some it’s not as convenient but Cole/Roomates willingly we would have none of the time/drink/cost restrictions…plus since it will be Spring/Summertime it’ll be nice to be outside here and there.

Public venue = Way more exciting. IMO.
Honestly, if someone else could be dedicated to handling the recording and such I’d probably be a bit relieved. But if noone steps up I’ll do my best to handle it. I wouldn’t mind donating the use of my camera and such either, though I’d probably perfer to transfer it all to a memory stick or something and takem y camera home rather than loaning my camera outright.
I’m up for doing it, I just need to know what to get or what not to, if Danny is going to off his camera. I still would like to do direct feed though, and it doesnt seem THAT expensive.

If we can use my HAVA device we can see what kin dof quality I can get out of it with better post-processing and such. Would save the cost of the Hauppauge. The thing is the Flips have such good quality as long as you get a good vantage point, the expense for the more expensive capture stuff just isn’t really all that worthwhile.
I’d love to do recording/editing duties, and since you live close by it’d be easy to return/get the memory stick from you.
