ESL vs TDP was so awesome. Seeing Mikhail last night compared to about a month ago when he started regularing at Gworks was pretty dope. All of them keeping level heads even moreso. Good show.
Regarding Nolan’s match against Sherwin, doesn’t Akuma pretty much own Abel? I remember playing against Carlos at gameworks where I accidently picked Abel, and all he did was the loop on me, and I couldn’t do jack.
^I think it’s worse than that but you have to know the match up and the opselects…also what abel can do to prevent HK spam (sLP/sLK/sMP) and know when to sweep…Also the demon flip throw/palm mind game is something you have to be reading you opponent with constantly…I think it’s abel’s worst match-up right after zangief. I think it’s worse than 6-4 but it comes down to the player…apparently combofiend’s abel rocked shadyk last weekend (my personal favorite american akuma)…it really comes down to the person/mind game.

Tonight is gonna be hype as all get out…There are a ton of huge matches tonight…I’m lookin forward to Reset Demon vs Stretch Armstrong ad Salt vs FATS…plus my own match vs TDP every match is gonna be crazy. SO many people goin for a wildcard spot.
Nate, some people show up as early as 7, but I would say 8 is a good time to shoot for. I usually show up closer to 9 and there’s already like 20 people there. But then again that was when there was a singles event.
The fact that almost EVERY team is playing tonight should be enough incentive for everyone to show up early. I don’t speak for Frank, but as a spectator, I’d like to see things get started as close to on-time as humanly possible.
Crazy night to miss, but worth it from where I was at…

I have to say, I’m glad to see bokkin get an OCV. I always feel bad for that guy. It’s always this deafening silence when he wins and people getting amped when he loses. I don’t know, maybe he really does deserve to be treated like that, I don’t actually know him, but honestly I doubt it.
One: I was all quiet because I’ve been out for a majority of the day, and I was hella tired. Two, who said I had any shame about it? Hahah
