Anyway, back on topic. Yeah I will definately try to come down after work on saturday. If you guys do this during the winter, my schedule will change to 2:30-11pm (well, I can just come in whenever I want really during the winter because it’s so slow. As long as I put in my 8hrs, they don’t really care.) So at some point I will for sure be there.

How would SSF4 work? Maybe a side mini tourney but wouldn’t the game be out for a grand total of a couple of weeks when we started? Plus I was under the impression that evo2k10 (if there is one…) was going to have SF4 one more time. SSF4 would be fun no doubt but personally I’d like to focus on SF4. Your call of course just my 2 cents.
I think SSF4 would be fun, but I suppose it depends on how people receive it.
@ b0kkin: I did hear this as well, for the most part EVO should be announced either late this year, or early next year (before the release of ssfiv), I don’t know which version they would go for, but I’d bank on ssfiv.
In regards to the game being out for only a few weeks. Actually if mar. 23rd is the release date. Wk 1 of TW’s will be happening that weekend. my view on this is, if we start TW’s asap following the release, it’s gonna help us all get better as a WHOLE. We’ll be meeting up once a week where we’ll see ppl play and learn from it. In the end I believe it’ll make our scene stronger as a whole which in turn will make the scene better way more overall than to have us start late.
Of course whichever version will be @ EVO will be the one TW’s will use (if it’s both…well I’ll deal with that mountain when we get there)

I toatally agree if evo decides on ssf4 but I’m pretty sure they will have a definite bigger sf4 tournament and they’ll at least have sf4 for 2 years. Again if they announce ssf4 as the big evo event count me in. But I honestly believe that with the success of last evo and sf4 they’ll do another and maybe like last year with tekken there might be a consolation ssf4 tourney or something. Again if it’s sf4 or ssf4 related I’m in TW related.
I find it hard to believe that Evo, with its ties to Capcom, would still hold an SFIV tourney instead of the latest and greatest version of the game.

I could understand them doing SF4 over SF5 or something, but I kind of agree, I don’t see why they wouldn’t use the new hotness.

I feel playing SSF4 completely is a good call, ESPECIALLY if Evo is using it. If Evo is going SF4 for another year, I’d stick to that. Frank hit the nail on the head with his post, just reiterating the smartest decision!
i think sf4 will be the evo main event but ssfiv will be an exhibition type tourney. this game dropped as a tournament game so why should we not keep it that way? so we are gonna delay tournaments so we can fall behind? fuck that, play both. if you cant adapt then pick your game
i play sf2, alpha, 3s, and 4 as well as cvs2, tekken, soul calibur (kinda) and whatever else. might be better at one game than the other but still on the competitive level in all. niggaz need to learn fundamentals and use your game knowledge in every game you play. so what if you can play the shit out of 1 game?

If people are trying to prefunk before TournamentWars. If you can just prefunk @ Best Western. Remember I found out that the #'s aren’t exclusive to the TW’s time slot (10:30-3:30am), but for Fae’s entire shift. I’m hearing that the magic # is 1500…1700 would be a lot better.
