Tougeki 2012 qualifiers schedule and results

I hope they’ll take another guy for that empty slot, just like Kuroda and MOV picked Nitto in 2010. Hayao please!

From many sources I heard there’ll be an American slot for 3S too, anyone know the exact date?

What’d you hear!!!

Is it unlisted because we are too late?

They were just going thru the motions to include slot.

This is a negative, explanation, sorry. I hope for the best. Be careful when you say, you heard from “multiple sources”

Please show the other sources!!

i believe they must be mistaken. with tougeki less than a month away, it would be pretty crazy that no one has heard about these quals. i wish i am wrong though. :frowning:

Yeah I wish you’re wrong too. All the Tougeki-related infos on international spots so far seems mostly unclear. Even the France qualifier was such a rush, first no one heards anything about it then boom, they finished and got a team.

They actually qualified with Nitto on their team. Usually when you qualify with a team of 3 and one forfeits, the team just plays with 2 players. That’s fair, otherwise any kind of changes might happen anytime to teams. When Pyro couldn’t go to Japan with Ken I and 5 star, it worked that way and of course they didn’t complain. I remember Thanatos tried to qualify with 2 men teams (let alone 2 man teams on 5 men tournaments… ) more than once. In 2009 MOV and Kuroda got the last chance qual without Ino, and so on.

… then of course you have Justin and Marn qualifying in France without Hsien Chang on the spot but counting him in for Japan, but that’s the exception, I guess. Uh.

All this to say: sorry for Haitani, but he should have chosen his teammates more carefully and not just for the show :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not saying it was perfect at all but as far as I know, anyone who expressed an interest in the France qualifier knew about it at least a good month before the tournament. Most players aren’t that committed to enter qualifiers first then go to SBO, it’s nothing new (and I don’t blame them)… And knowing most EU players, the team that qualified is easily one of the best you could hope for.

Unfortunately I’m pretty sure that link listing qualified teams is just a fansite -it is most likely wrong.

Why can’t Haitani choose a new member? since he got his spot from a singles qualifier…

I guess even if he did get his spot from a singles qualifier, once he registers them he has to follow the same rules as all the other teams.

Sucks for Haitani, but lololol

Now, Haitani really has his work cut out for him. Big time.

Haitani is still a very strong player; I’d say he hangs with the elite. Momochi is also solid, he just needs to practice and he’ll probably get back on it. If anything, Daigo was just going to drag them down so they’re probably better off.

I wish I would have thought to ask Haitani why he choose Umehara while he was at Evo.

Either way I didn’t really want that team to do well anyway

Showed Kokujin my “KFG Deshiken > Daigo pic” at least.
He agreed. Daigo does not even play 3s anymore.

Guys I got information about 2nd international slot, the Taiwanese team. Here’s the recorded footage for those don’t know about Taiwanese 3rd Strike skill:

Start from around 56’.

Spoiler

Winning team is Eric(GO) - Asika(UR) - Larry(CH)

Chun sa2 bar looks like geneiJin in this vid, it never seemed that obvious before to me ahah.

aww and i wanted to see Haitani’s full team vs Kuroda’s team too, i wonder how that’ll turn out lol the traitors vs the purists

agree with that. Watching Kuroda vs Umehara would have been interesting for me. Not much as a top level game, but for all the drama and the spice behind that.
Still looking towards the Kuroda vs Momochi revenge runback

Boss is the only one out of those five(six) players that still exclusively plays 3S. :stuck_out_tongue:

At least Kuroda’s team actually goes to 3s events haha lol Haitani is like border line traitor lol

idk i saw the qualifying tournament and Momochi seemed like he forgot how to even friggin play 3s, he definitely lost a lot of juice but we’ll see and i dont got to say anything about Daigo lol self explanatory
