I want to thank everyone that made T6 possible, though I didn’t get much play and was frustrated at the wait times I’m sure everyone did their best to make it run as smoothly as it did. It was good to see the community out there though I couldn’t really put names to faces that well. Its too bad there wasn’t that much York U repping but oh well.
Though next year I hope you guys will consider Campus Cove at York U, I know Orbit is a business of course but it would have been much more comfortable without all the jitz tables and the dance machines on all day. Campus Cove would have been deserted today and could have accomandated the tournament members without the random hustle and bustle of Orbit.
T6 is held at Orbit because everyone loves the jailbait that runs around Pacific.

Holy shit dudes, I’m fucken impressed. Ack peaced out Justin Wong and Ricky Ortiz. It looked so easy for him.
Secret Weapon, who I trained myself, was pixels away from peacing out Justin Wong. I’ve never even taken a game off Justin before. And these guys just make it look so easy. Hey! I never taught him how to beat justin wong! how did he do that? Well, maybe he’s just a crazier player than I am.
Don’t get me wrong. I know i’m an amazing 3s player, but it doesn’t mean that I’m the best. I’ve never won an orbit tournament. Hell, I’ve never even placed in any tournament which mattered. Nech Neb won T4, T5, and was 2nd at T6. That’s THREE Canadian Majors. That’s unparalelled. I dont know if you heard this, but the arguement that these brackets are “rigged” by Ben don’t take away the fact that he still beat Ricky Ortiz. I’ve never fucken beat him. I’ve come close, but never actually done it. I don’t care if he made the brackets. I don’t care if he made them last year. But I’m pretty sure he didn’t make them the first year he won.
Holy shit, dudes. All these guys are capable of keeping BOTH Justin Wong and Ricky Ortiz from placing in the money. That’s fucken unheard of.
My 3s days are coming to an end. I continue on to Evo and will, as usual, give it my all and place as high as possible. And when this Empire major gets arranged, I might just go to that. But that will be my last tournament. If it doesn’t, Evo2k5 is going to be my last one. I love this game, but I don’t need to win all these serious tournaments to prove it. You guys know I love this shit. Casuals is all I need. I’ll probably still scam my way into a team tournament with Secret Weapon here and there just to make sure that Jiggabry holds his shit down though =)
Don’t think I’m giving up on the scene. I’ll still be at Orbit a lot running those 3s machines and I’ll definately drop by the tournaments whenever I can. And I’m currently trying to work out something big for T7, which I won’t reveal until I get some more work done.
I think we didn’t run it at york u cause there wasn’t enough machines there. IIRC, York has 6 vs machines (cvs2, ggxx, svc, kof, 3s, mvc2). We had 2 cvs2, 2 3s, and at some point in time 2 mvc2 cabs in order to run the tourny in time (even though the 2nd marvel board was messed up), plus all the other games.
Also size-wise Orbit is quite abit larger than york u, and you already seen how packed orbit was. i think at one point though York U was going to be the location for T6, but for one reason or another, Orbit won it.
Marvin you’re too hard on yourself. I will say that line of thought is exactly the same thing I came to about two years ago, and in all honesty, it makes you appreciate the game and its community a lot more. (i.e. who gives a shit about winning when you can crack jokes with a half dozen cool people while laughing that you just Ken SA2’ed some guys ass…)
So now onto the bigger questions… Jeff, and if possible Secret Weapon, both need to be at Evo. Jeff for sure, and if it’s a money thing, I’m willing to chip in a few just to see him tear shit up in Vegas. You need to talk to that man and get him to figure shit out with his family. If he can’t do it, holler at me and let’s figure this out. He’s gotta be there. As for Quy, he’s got the money. I just want to be drunk in Vegas with him, lol.
