Also if people wanna teach me T5.
I’ve never played any tekken games in my life.
Also, how do you “parry” in tekken,
and what is d/f ? Down + foward or Down OR foward?
And what is this 1 2 3 stuff ??

it’s all about Canadian maple! :karate:

down+ forward

and you can only parry low attacks and special mid attacks i think. i could be wrong

1 is left punch, 2 is right punch, 3 is left kick, 4 is right kick.

Am I going crazy…or was there supposed to be a tournament on the 19th.(of this month)

quiz.ravenblack.net/videogame.pl

which pre 1985 video game character are you? Defender Ship and Thrust Ship Baby!!

couchetard

crueller > bcream

Cancelled… now on March 5th.

d/f means down+forward. d_f would mean down or forward. The numbers (1234) are the buttons in the game. 1 (Left punch, top left), 2 (right punch, top right), 3 (left kick, bottom left), 4 (right kick, bottom right).

Parry’s vary from character to character. Everybody has a universal low parry, which is executed by hitting d/f right before the attack hits. Your character will push their attack away (different results for either punches or kicks), and guaranteeing punishment (exact retaliation also varies, depending on punch or kick).

All other parries are character specific. i.e. Steve’s is 2~f (the “~” means ‘immediatly followed by,’ or ‘as soon as possible’), whereas Bryan’s is b+1+2. Some characters also have moves with parry properties, such as Kazuya’s f+2, which overrides punches. This is an idea borrowed from the VF series, where certain attacks possess properties, such that they will always override other, specific kinds of attacks.
