to be more specific, cuz you might not know where these places are:

ORBIT Entertainment Centre
4300 Steeles East,
Markham, Ontario, Canada
note Steeles and Kennedy, it’s in pacific mall (pmall) on the second floor. wkdays open till midnight (i think) and wkends till 2am. if you want to go after 9pm, the main doors are closed, you have to enter the mall either through underground parking on the south side, or side doors located on the west side (across the TD banks)
jap sticks
it’s token operated ($1 = 2 tokens, 1 token a game)
best times are play are generally friday and sat nights, weekday nights may have a few, but not so many ppl

note Steeles and Keele, it’s located in York Lane Malls. I forget the hours, but i think it closes at midnight. pretty dead on nights, especially since summer term is coming up.

where abouts? i was there this past sunday and i couldn’t find them?

i probably shouldn’t have said “now.” maybe around 2/3 weeks ago they had 2 machines on the left side, closer to the counter, a bit further back than that gundam (?) game. i haven’t seen the old machine working in at least two months

edit: rather, the old machine was working last time i was there but had a different game in it

The only good PS2 Japstick IMO is the Hori Real Arcade Pro. Fair price on play-asia.com (see link); fast delivery considering it’s from the other side of the world.

I would know because I’m the Jap Stick Master… or the JS Master for short.

The HRAP2 actually has an authentic candy-cab button layout (the HRAP doesn’t) but IIRC the default button config is slightly different from the HRAP, so the popular Innovation DC converter may not work perfectly without going into the button config.
