TOPANGA League - Japan's SSF4 AE Top Players Pay Per View Event -

It happens a lot with people that are playing on different setups all the time (online, offline, xbox, ps3, tv with x delay, tv with y delay, etc etc).

Round 10 is starting soon. 10 mins

mago had a 5 win streak, one more to take the set but fudo is bouncing back with 2 wins now

Stopped caring when Momochi was eliminated.

And I thought Fuudo always bodied Mago in the mirror matches…Mago really did step it up for this second part.

5-3 now, fuudo woke up lol

mago took the first set 6-3

Fuudo weaving his magic, but a little too late for that set.

theyre tryin to fix the connection problem since there were hiccups here and there (unless you switched to low-res mode, which is still watchable but ugly compared to the high-res mode)…

Hey man, not that I expect you to translate or anything, but what kind of commentating is going on? Are they doing a simple play-by-play calling or do they actually go in-depth on the matchup and stuff like that?

Mago has beaten Fuudo quite a few times in mirror matches. They did a FT10 awhile back and Mago won something like 10-6. I remember Fuudo saying something like Mago taught him most of what he knows so let’s see if the student beats the teacher lol.

a little bit of both, since its R and Shiro, R do the play by play mostly and with knowledge here and there, while shiro usually explains more in depth between rounds/matches…

they did say, its a battle between the perfect in theory fei long(mago) vs the wild animal(fei long)

Most of the time they just say what happens. Cross up, saving attack, anti air crouch medium punch etc.

Post game analysis is interesting, but my Japanese isn’t good enough to understand everything.

Edit: What HFX said lol

Yeah Mago usually beats Fuudo in mirror match (loses as Sagat though lol.)

What is interesting is that Daigo USUALLY (obviously not this time) beats Mago in gachis. Yet Fuudo often beats Daigo (or at least does better than Mago). It is like a weird sort of rivalry triangle, except without all the kissing ( :frowning: )

I find that funny because the matches I usually see, Mago is the one more likely to take chances and go crazy. Fuudo is a much more methodical player playing a bit more reactionary than Mago.

Whaaaa? I view them the complete opposite way ^^

What you see as “taking chances” is probably to Mago as his strategy/calculated actions… I recalled Tokido once told me that Mago’s reaction is ass, aka not his strength at all but he plays a shit ton(perfected his understanding of all his moves, theory stuff etc) and is somehow really good at coming up with a gameplan to beat his opponent.

But yeah, as someone said, Mago has been playing Fei wayy much longer than Fuudo, the teacher vs student analogy works.

wtf i reset my stream and its already set 2

fudo 5 mago 2

WTF

Apparently you are bad luck for Fuudo. Second you come back he gets tore up.

9-7 mago won

im hella sleepy though lol
