Topanga is Finished

Well I think it’s safe to say that Kindevu won’t be dropping any c.hp, c.mk links offline… or at least not anywhere near as bad as he did during this online part.

So the first day off Topanga Offline will be…

Tokido Vs RF (Min 12 games, Max… heaps i.e 10-8 Tokido, 6-4 RF, 25-23 Tokido)
Winner of Set 1 Vs Kindevu

Needless to say, you won’t be seeing Kindevu during the free 1 hour period.

looks @ beast note, sees full schedule

February 10
RF vs. Tokido
The winner will fight Kindevu.

February 11
The winner from Feb. 10 will fight Bon-chan.
Then the winner will fight Momochi.

February 12
The winner from Feb. 11 will fight Mago.
Then the winner will fight Umehara.

February 24
The winner from Feb. 12 will fight Fuudo.
Then the winner will fight Kazunoko.

February 25
The winner from Feb. 24 will fight Uryo.
Then the winner will fight sako.

February 26
The winner from Feb 25 will fight Haitani.

Personally I only think Fuudo and up have a chance of winning this… Fuudo beat Mago and Daigo who are both below him and are his most likely challengers, than if he wins he has Kazunoko and his record against Seth speaks for itself. Than Uyro who he beat as well and than his two toughest are last.

Sako and Haitani, called gods of 2d fighting games because of vampire saviour, still running shit over a decade latter.

Why is Kazunoko peeing on Kindevu? D:

Spoiler

Also, just watched the Haitani vs Kindevu match. I know this is the Cammy forums and all, but sheesh Haitani was playing out of his fucking mind on that one. Crazy aggressive and good reads and mixups. I’d love to see a FT10 with those 2 see if Kindevu can adapt.

Oh, good catch. I’ve reuploaded that one.

I plan to put everything up at some point - but not right away, as I still want there to be some incentive for people to purchase this. I’d also need some place to host, since the full files are roughly 1.6 GB per each of the twelve four-hour rounds. So that’s like 15-20 GB for the entire set, depending on how long the offline portion lasts.

I was personally hoping for a nice long set of RF vs Inoue for Kazunoko to get his revenge for RF’s wins over him in the online portion and also in SBO 2010 GGXXAC finals (final match)… looks like the odds of that are pretty low, though.

That’s what Seth does!

Hey Teyah, I don’t wanna bother but I think the file vs Fuudo is corrupted too, not sure if its problem with my codecs though.
Watching Kindevu just makes remember how much better Sako was with Cammy, sucks to think that no one as good as him will play her anymore.
And thanks for uploading the matches.

It’s no trouble - I’ve uploaded a fixed version of that one now.

Yeah it really sucks that we’ll no longer see a top 5 Japanese player use Cammy and we have to settle for a Top 10 player who’s actually won multiple offline tournaments like SBO and the Capcom National Tournaments.

The horror.

If you’re talking about those tournaments, you must know that they were all team, right?
He never really won anything big by himself in SF4 series, always on Momochi’s shoulders.
And he also were playing Rufus, only character you could ever consider him to be a top 10 player in Japan, this character fits him perfectly, not Cammy though, but I guess you already saw it from him getting the 3rd worst result here in this 1st stage, only being better than Tokido and RF, both playing very, very bad.

And yeah, the horror, that’s what I thought when watching Kindevu vs Sako and Haitani, matchups that are probably in Cammy’s favor.

been playing that calibur, Natsu so GDLK anyway Thanks for vids woop woop

I had a hard time watching Kindevu play against Sako =/

Momochi’s carrying skills are so good he even wins SBO without even playing.

Oh wait it was Kindevu who beat Bonchan and Daigo, both match ups that are against Rufus. What a scrub.

I don’t know if that’s supposed to prove anything, but like I said, he only won team tournaments, and yeah, Momochi was there to save his ass in other matches like I said.

See, if you really think this video of him beating Daigo ONE game(I won’t even count him doing random ex messiah every time he filled a bar) means something you must’ve think the video I’ll post here of the same tournament means something too, right? So, just watch it :

After that, Momochi would have to save the day and carry Kindevu and RF to the next round, just like he had to do in semifinals beating Mago and Nemo to save the team again. Now you see? If It wasn’t for Momochi, Kindevu wouldn’t even be in the finals in the first place.

And just so you can stop posting stupid stuff, I never said he was bad or anything like that, in vanilla I even consider him a top 10 in the world with his Rufus, but all the other chars he plays are nothing close to extraordinary like his Rufus were at the time, so yeah, I’m not amazed by his Cammy and I don’t think he is a top 10 player today even counting only Japan, while Sako I can easily say is top 3 playing a underused char and doing better then pretty much everyone playing better chars, I could even say he is the best today, but then that’s just my opinion, but I’m pretty sure Sako is way ahead of Kindevu today, would’ve be even more if he were still playing Cammy since she’s a better character than Ibuki.

Wow Momochi won 2 matchups in his favor in the semis including a 7-3, surely outclasses Kindevu winning 2 matchups not in his favour in the actual finals! And no one cares if you play poorly before the end, it’s all about the finish, see Kobe playing like crap in Game 7 against the Celtics a few years ago. See everyone forgetting that D.Wade played shit against Chicago while Lebron was great when Wade turned up against the Mavs while Lebron played shit.

Kindevu clinched that SBO, he beat Wolfkrone in a mirror to win Canada Cup teams which was the main attraction, he took out Tokido and Mago in the Japan vs Japan match when his team was behind. And what has Sako won offline in Japan? He has 2 online tournament wins and thanks to online again he only has too win 2 matches to win Topanga. You keep going on about it’s team tournaments but the fact of the matter is in Japan @ major offline events it’s mostly team tournaments, godsgarden being the main exception and Kindevu obviously didn’t give a shit about the last one since he played Evil Ryu in pools.

Fact is that the only time Kindevu and Momochi have played an equally strong character (Yun) in the same tournament (Evo 2011) Kindevu outperformed him by coming 5th while Momochi was knocked out around the start of Top 32. Need I point out that Kindevu’s 5th @ Evo is far superior to Sako’s results in America @ lesser tournaments? Don’t blame Yun, Sako had Super Cammy for his first one…

And don’t do a James Chen and forget that Kindevu was one of the first great Vipers…

The fact you’re bitching about having to put up with the likes of Kindevu being the top Japanese Cammy player is laughable when the majority of the cast in this game will never have a player maining them as good as Kindevu. Especially when fuck all was playing Cammy in the previous version. Sako doesn’t play Cammy anymore, get over it.

I agree with most of the stuff you said but I also agree with the other guy that says that Kindevu’s cammy is nothing spectacular.

Are you really comparing Super Cammy with AE Yun? Last I remember no one could win shit with Super Cammy while AE Yun were raping people all over the place, I don’t even like to remember that last Canada Cup with Kazunoko, he just went there to show how broken the character were, no one would ever do that with Super Cammy, not Sako, not Alioune, not Kindevu, no one. And about Kindevu having better results than Sako, well, he just goes to far more tourneys, Sako don’t even try to qualify for SBO, just went to 2 tourney in USA, 1 in Europe and 1 in China from what I remember, he got 2nd playing pretty much only Rose in Europe, 1st in the 2 on 2 with Alioune, 2nd in China, lost to Yun, and he went to the last offline godsgarden too, got top 8, I think it’s pretty good for the few tournaments he went.

If it was not by Sako people would just remember her as a crazy good char that no one could win with, and even then he only did well in tournaments he had more time to play his game, 2 out 3 tournaments are just random as hell, especially in this game, close range characters usually get randomned out easier, anyone you lose like 3 or 4 games out of 20 you can lose in a tournament like this with the pressure, it happens all the time, but that won’t happen in a first to 10 or probably even a first to 5, so I respect more those gods gardens online then any 2 out 3 tournaments. Not even saying that the less games you have to win people will just go crazier and crazier, or you really think Kindevu could win a first to 10 against Daigo the way he played in that SBO final? He won ONE GAME doing random ex messiah whenever he got a bar, it just shows you how random it is when Kindevu beats Daigo and loses to Air at the same tournament. There’s plenty of examples of random stuff in standard rules tournaments, Daigo being raped by poongko then in longer set beating him like 22-8, I know there’s a lot of people who can’t really see what’s going on in the games and the only way for them judge who is better is by tournaments results, so keep doing that, I like to pay attention at how people play and judge for myself who I think is better.

And anyway, you think what you want, in my opinion Sako is way better then Kindevu, I don’t even like to compare them, Kindevu just goes to the best char he can play while Sako plays whoever he wants to, develops the characters gameplay as much as he can and still do better then Kindevu when they have the time to show their skills, every time you see new videos of Sako you see new amazing stuff, that’s why I hope he plays Cammy again sometime, he likes to change characters and likes Cammy, so who really knows, if he don’t, no problem then, I can enjoy more him playing any char than Kindevu and other fucking former Yun and Yang players playing Cammy.

Kindevus cammy isn’t entertaining to watch, period. He doesn’t do anything special, he goes for old outdated comboes, he doesn’t seem to know any setups, character specific or not, he drops comboes.

He doesn’t go for optimized combos but he definitely knows his setups. He even knows about the crossup fierce setup on Cody and he’s very fond of doing the backthrow cross up strike setup.

Um didn’t Sako win Godsgarden2 with Super Cammy?

No, He won Godsgarden online 1 but Mago won GGO2.

Really looking forward to Kindevu’s FT10(s) this weekend. I’ll be out of town this weekend but will try to get his stuff uploaded when I get back Sunday night.

Kindevu lost to Tokido 3-6 and then 6-8. He’s out and he’s in second-to-last place lol :frowning:
