Psylocke, Capn, and Tron are definately better than Ken. Tron should kill omega red as long as the tron knows how to play. amingo isnt “AMAZING” but okay, I think mainly gimmicks…spider man is better prolly. omega actually ain’t that versatile, guile also actually does do better against juggs.

psylock on point is fucking scary. you just cant fuck with that bitch. psy has instant overhead which can be comboed and a new throw cancel which is beefy. Not to mention all her switch side combos she has. She will beat your face in if you dont respect what she can do.
dont beat on guile. Guiles priority beats all the top tiers clean. I think the only top tier normal move that can beat guile is storms fp but the rest of the top tiers cant touch him. Guiles j.rh beats on sent and flash kick stops square jumps. I guess its possible for guile to beat top tiers if you wanted to take that much to learn how to play him right. He has the tools to do it.
from what I’ve heard, spiderman is supposedly pretty beefy too. I’ve never seen a good spidey but I’m sure theres a great one out there.

The mid tier should cover alot more people ( maybe 20) and some of the bottom tier should be mid.
Anakaris ain’t close to bottom ( not that I’m siding with RedSilverAnakris - who likes to tell people he’s a noob???) even counting his paper thin stamina. Maybe whoever edited the wiki didn’t know about his curse infinite?
Spiderman I’d bump down, plus wolverine ain’t mid at all, Bonerine is debateable - pretty beastly with sent. Guile, BB Hood, morrigan, and maybe sakura and Bison could be bumped up.
Gambit is probably a bit high too, has some great normals - high priority launcher, 2 frame crouching jab, but has a few drawbacks as well.
I did tell everyone i was a bit biased. but you are right beatsdevil, I havent played top notch Guiles and Trones, I dont doubt there abilities, but I still think that Omega has better time fighting Juggs and Trone (Ive beat out Trones drill attack with the Omega Strike, and she uses a drill compared to feet), and I still think Anakaris puts up a good fight against most top tiers. I still have to say Omega and Anakaris belong in the 2nd Tier (im not including the Top Tier of Mags), after Cyke and Doom and all them.
Anak IMO is Top Tier(at least at the bottom list of High Tier List) or for other’s sake, between mid and top… well based on experience, Anakaris wins my local monthly tournaments against other top players using God / Top Tier characters in our place. Even with my matches during my 2 recent visits in Singapore against their top players. At least I have proved something with Anakaris.
I wish my visit to Brisbane and Sydney will go through this coming December though…
well hopefully YOU can make him top-tier and prove it. as of now he is not and won’t be until he does awesome plenty of time at tournaments that matter. but I do agree he is higher than others say he is.
i dont play MVC2 competitively but i noticed that for the most part it seems like it doesnt matter as much what character you have as your main but the most important part is what your assist characters are…maybe im wrong but please correct me if i am…most of the time it seems like a character does a rush in followed by an assist…usually the assist plays more like a decoy at times or it makes it where the other opponent cant attack and has no choice but to guard unless he wants to get hit by the assist or the main character in…if he gets hits by the assist then the main character will do the cookie cutter combos or if the opponent is blocking the assist character the main character will try and trick the opponent by going high when the assist is doing low attacks or something…Am i in the right mind set or am i completely off? IMO if you had good assist and you have good combos with your main like infinites or just a high damage type combo you could use practically anyone.
it matters what characters you have as your main as well… storm / psylocke is less effective vs. sentinel than magneto psylocke.
but in terms of what does damage… yeap… sentinel’s ground assist will always aid in beating the fuck out of magneto… cyclops will always fuck up sentinel’s day, etc. etc…
no, it doesn’t count assists, but it’s also not solo. It’s the overall potential of each character in combination with the possiblity of having an assist, which is exactly why i will say it AGAIN
I’m sad the Wiki’s dead/broken. It covers all this stuff already (including assist tiers). If you’re honestly asking questions, the Wiki pretty much covers it all. Get to it, read it. If you’re trying to root for your favorite character, get to Evo and prove yourself. It’s easy to win against scrubs or people who don’t already know how to beat your New Tricks. Hell, some of the best character development/improvement I’ve seen has been with Psylocke since some of the people using her really ARE playing against buff-ass competition all the time and thus getting a chance to improve themselves.
