Is this new low faster and safer than a hellsweep? Does it lead to more damage? Does it track better? If not, I fail to see how it changes anything. As of now, DJ isn’t exactly broken and I doubt DR will bring him to Steve levels of cheese.

Namco should seriously consider putting in a ‘Dan Hibiki’ character in Tekken. Meaning, a weak shit parody of a DOA character. I would love to see Itagaki’s reaction.

It’s not the impact on high level that’s the problem. DJ is one of the few characters that take some fucking effort in terms of inputs, but now any random scrub who can’t CD has a low they can use. Just catering to the shitty player like me!
Do you really think he cares? He makes a TON of money from DOA, why should he care about what a bunch of nerds who waste their time arguing about fighting games think? His games aren’t even aimed at the “fighting game community” for the most part, they are for the casual gamer to pick up and play and just have fun with. If you look at his games like that, they are actually pretty good.

Wouldn’t probably work. Most 3D fighters outside of Yoshimitsu, the Mishimas and the various animal characters are basically common fighting game stereotypes. More than likely the DOA inspired character would only be recognized as joke by only hardcore fans, since within Tekken they would probably seem as legit as Xiaoyu and her panda are.
