Tokyo Game Action RanBat #3.2 GDLK Results + SFIV announcement (05-31-08)

hell yea lets get this done me nohoho and jms will own FREEEEEEEE!!! lol:looney::looney: hold:3k: 5 seconds release :3k: Grab repeat I win:rock:

Since I’m neither side, I’ll enter myself as a third team. If ANYONE on your team can beat me one game, you win.

Boy, you’re strong. Do you work out?

I dont think so.

scared? :badboy:

Yo Nestor you still play cvs2?

After being spoiled in Japan pre-Evo 2k7 then coming back to the states, I made the decision not the play the game seriously anymore because as depressing as it sounds, it never has and never will be as good here. Not to mention the game has become a bit boring to me.

GGPO/ST is where its at now! lets play sanford!

I play St hardcore and have been since jan I wanna play good players.

then you live on the wrong coast. There are some decent players here, but they’re spread out so far and they play so rarely, good luck getting any real ST experience in without flying all over the country for majors. i got most of my experience playing the OGs at EVO events over the last 3 years.

I Think I can beat u in st Phil…

i smell money matches

online play is where its at now.

The connections are so good and the comp is so fierce, the offline only players are going to be left in the dust, no matter what coast they live on.

PS about the tournament I beat Watson at a few years ago… in case you were misinformed it was an arcade AE tournament not ST. I played CE guile he played HF Ryu and CE guile.

I like the cut of this man’s jib.

my comp sucks n cant play online :frowning: fuck me i guess im stuck in the past

Online play is still HIGHLY in beta test mode. We still have yet to get a viable version of any fighting game online that doesn’t lag. And yes, this includes GGPO as there are still issues with it depending on OS, location of players, etc. GGPO is the best so far, but it’s far from perfect. I would not count anything being played online right now as actual practice due to many factors, which is why I see no reason to start playing hardcore online. I might actually start learning some bad habits that would translate to real world gameplay, which I certainly want to avoid.

Actually yes, I was misinformed, I had no idea it was AE which you played against Watson. That does totally change things.

And Sanford, although unless you’re going to MWC I probably won’t see you anytime soon, next time we do cross paths I’ll be more than happy to show you how little about ST you actually understand.

I managed to get 13th at FR after playing online and offline. So…

Of course nothing is absolutely perfect. But playing against quality opponents is an infinitely more important factor for improving than having your timing thrown off by 2 frames of lag.

Also just a note: to get the optimal online experience you should play without using WIFI, and without using converters. Personally I use a Hori Ex2 for 360 which plugs right into my PC. These kinds of factors can make a tremendous difference in your online experience. If you havent taken care of them you might not know what youre missing.

Current online play >> CCC2 ST
