Tokoyama2000's art thread

it’s been over a month since i updated =[

here’s another wrap around that i’m working on for digital coloring class

i took the colors from leona’s alternate costume in kof:mi

totally pro

Amazing work. I just recently discovered this thread and I’ve enjoyed myself thoroughly the way through. You’re amazingly talented. Have you worked on anymore Chun li art recently?

Oh, and why aren’t you working for UDON?

These are amazing keep up the great work and never lose inspiration.

I haven’t looked at all of your stuff yet, but I’d like to see a Dan sketch in your awesome style, I believe it will do him justice.

thanks for the comments, guys.

i’d love to do a dan piece, but i just don’t have the time right now =[ senior year sucks.

i have a couple work in progress pieces for digital coloring class.
here’s my latest that i just started

it’s based on ox head and horse face, the guardians of heaven. they’re chinese mythical characters.

almost done with the ox head drawing.

changed the color scheme.

here’s a late wip

finished ‘the soldier’ wrap around for class

I like that outfit of hers and both color schemes for the soldier/Eva. Ox head looks pretty intimidating as well.

I just browse through your thread and I dig your art. There are still some issues with anatomy, but they’ve been addressed already.

I really like the shading in the soldier wrap around. It has excellent color theory.

I don’t if this has been asked before, but as for the Ox King, are you using the smudge tool on PS?

thanks for the crituque. i’ll keep an eye on my figures.

for the ox piece, i’m using the brush tool/flow percentage for the blending.

here’s an old piece that i finally colored

scary.

Looks pretty sweet, actually. I dig the pose.

back from the grave
again, thanks for the comments, guys. i really really appreciate it.

here’s the finished version of ‘the bunny’ wrap around. i finally added the back view of her.

also, here’s a very short interview of me at the ‘a bad crit’ blog
http://abadcrit.tumblr.com/post/597401079/an-interview-with-edwin-huang

very nice as always but why is all the art you post now-a-days wrap arounds?
i miss when you used to do cool poses of street fighter characters and such.

mr. list - i’ve been working on a comic that i’m not allowed to show atm.
but about the wrap arounds, i actually do them for fun (and to keep sane) as a break from doing sequential work.
also, i’ve been meaning to draw juri but now i’m swamped. i’ll get to it eventually though.

here’s something that i did for class

tiger goes grarrrwww
avatar the last vietcong.

nice work

here’s the first two pages to a nightcrawler story that i was working on for fun.

it’s nightcrawler disguised as his idol, errol flyn as he macks on some girls.

the woman’s face on the second panel of the first nightcrawler page looks incomplete or just a bad angle but everything else is boss. i really like your comic book style.

sorry for the lack of updates.
but here’s what i’ve been working on for the past few months.

Skullkickers has gone public!

Edwin Huang?

name and a half.
congrats on living the dream, edwin (snigger)

ps
seriously congratulations.
