i don’t care how you say it, but telling someone that they have liefeld syndrome is always an insult. with that out of the way, you make some really good points though.
foreshortening has always been an issue for me. i’ll def keep what you said about shoulders and elbows in mind.
but i personally like the stylized way i draw noses[or lack of noses] and thick street fighter-like wrists and hands.
psh, now it sounds like i’m making excuses for my flaws =/ haha
anyway, i thought i would have more time over the summer to do art trades/requests, but work really kills my time.
Pumps are better than sandals any day. The rendering on the legs remind me of Hyugn Tae Kim’s stuff. I don’t think the stomach is a warm region so you can probably do away with the blush. It’s too late for this at the stage of the illustration’s life but her right leg needs to be foreshortened more and the shins being paralleled create sort of a repetition. You could move her left leg up more and the right one down a little.

I have only one nitpick, that being that her outfit is brown, not black. otherwise it’s fucking fantastic. And hell, even the face is hot, I love how you did her eyes / lips, quite a surprise (she does look like the e-surance girl now that you mention it. if you don’t like that I can show you how to alter her eyes to fix that, but really I don’t mind ) Also, the neck seems a bit wonky, it’s a bit off somehow.
if you don’t want to do the line work (or color) I can look to someone else to do it, you seem pretty buzy / overloaded as is ;p.
And once again, thanks beyond words. When you come back to NYC I’ve definitely got to repay you somehow.
Also, if you’ve got that in MEGA BIG size I’d love to use it as a wallpaper (1920 x 1200).
