Dude I had the funniest thing like this happen to me last night. I had out Iron Man, dude had out Phoenix, this guy was total scrubbing it up and mashing.
Dark Phoenix comes out, and the dude immediately runs at me mashing jabs and shit, I activated X Factor and Proton Canon for a counter hit that killed her instantly XD
Fixed.
Biggest mistakes were not killing Phoenix when she had no meter and you did air rocket punch for some reason? Even with lag that is one of the easiest otgs in the game. Also, you shouldn’t have kept Sentinel on point so long imo. He’s better as an assist and anchor with level 3 xfc.
The other big mistakes were you pushed buttons when she was jumping in on you, and you used Level 1 X-Factor for no apparent reason while she had level 3. So it basically ran out and then she got free chip damage on all your characters. Should have saved it for your last character or 2nd to last character when the timer would have been the same.
If anyone needs a copy of MvC3 I have an extra. $50.

Blame yourself. Its the best and fastest way to get better. Why you used X factor so early is beyond me. Plus you missed your chance to get Phoenix out when you didn’t connect light rocket punch after your long combo. Lag didn’t affect you when you were inputting that combo. Lag didn’t affect you when you were rushing down Zero. Don’t make excuses make solutions.
The most obvious answer to the underlying problem that no one has pointed out yet - is that you have that god damn awful announcer on.
I’ll just reiterate that it was a pretty laggy match. The only reason I bothered to upload it was because it was funny.
Dropping the sentinel otg I also attribute to lag. Basically me doing an Air Rocket punch was at the same timing that I would have done it offline. I’m not sitting here trying to make excuses but I am explaining that overall there was a serious amount of lag that cannot be seen with an upload alone.

I’ll agree that I probably should have waited to use my xfactor. But I knew how much chip damage that whore does and I was trying to save dormamu because he’s the only character that I could have used to save myself.
Having spent a humongous majority of my gametime offline I had no idea how different the timing for some of the combos are online.

On another note, have I ever mentioned how much I hate Super Skrull? Double tap anything and fucking tenderizer comes out. His mission mode combos are gay.
I found super skrulls to be some of the easiest. =/

What can I say? I’m consistently amused.
Typical repairs are $20/hr with a one hour minimum on sticks I didn’t work on. But I tell you what: bring it Weds, and if I can fix it in less than ten minutes it’s on the house.
