about a good 25 to 30 minute drive. deja vu/gold club/emperors & orient road jail are right around the corner, lol.
The Vu all the way.
At the Vu you get discounted dances if you tell them you play Street Fighter. I had one give a dance for a long time while I explained the finer points of “Plinking”. The bigger the combo the less you pay, they always say.
you still have Garou at PnT? I’ll be If so, I’m willing MM anyone interested in playing…
^^^Sorry, nobody plays MOTW at PnT (unfortunately)^^^
:rock:RESTARTING THE HYPE MACHINE!
I need to try this out because i have loops and full bar combos lol
Me and two other hermits are throwing a Vanguard Princess tourney on May 15th… therefore… **you guys should cancel!!! **:bgrin:
Why not Run TvC: UAS on saturday along with the rest of the games?? Are there going to be alot of people showing up for the game?
but are they better than Mons? Mons was amazing but i’ve not been to the others in tampa. Imo Mons is worht the 30 min. drive haha
true, those clubs are not better than mons. i’m not 100% sure yet where we’ll be going after the tourney.
Is it true that Mons only serves Sodas though. NO liquor, beer or any alcohol at all lol. Oh the Irony
Tekken and TvC are on sunday because trying to run all the tournaments in one day was a near disaster last time. Street Fighter will bring out quite a few people by itself.

I understand that, but I am asking from a TvC players stand point. If there are only going to be like 10-15 tops for TvC then why not run that game on the day with the rest of the capcom games. If I do not play/watch Tekken then the 3+ hour drive will not be that wortht it.
But if you ran it on sat I could also watch good SSF$ matches after my tourney ends. Again I was just asking, because I do not think the scene for TvC is good so I felt it could be squezzed in with the rest of the capcom games.
mons doesnt serve alchohol but they also dont give a fuck if you drink in the parking lot. you can technically tailgate mons venus
It’s not so much a matter of inclusion as it is a matter of time/space/resource management. The reality of the situation is that there will likely be delays to deal with on both days (for whatever reason) and our past experience with trying to run multiple games in one day is that it leads to a PR nightmare trying to micromanage all the events/money since all but one of us running the event are trying to play in it as well. The biggest reason, though, is the venue. PnT Brandon is a good size store; but with players+spectators+chairs/setups+customers, it gets really crowded in there. Usually the SF players play both games (HDR and SFIV) and rarely play other fighters, so that keeps the numbers down somewhat.
Another thing to consider is that SSFIV is fairly new and popular; compound that with the people drawn in by the ***New Challenger Challenge ***and we expect there to be a fair number of people playing in that tournament. Even if we only get what the last ToT had, which was ~36 players+spectators; adding 10+ more people there for another game would lead to things being pretty cramped.
Also, we’re not sure how good of a turnout we’ll get for TvC. We are running this tournament to test the waters and see if this game is worth running tournaments for in this area. If we see that there is a good number of serious TvC players willing to show, that will go a long way in us stepping up future TvC tournies.
So to summarize: To try and maintain a smooth-running tournament atmosphere, we are running only two games per day. Since SF players usually play both SF games, it made sense to put them on the same day. This is not a slight towards the TvC community, just the way things worked out.
Titans of Tampa 2… where is your facebook event invite???
^^^Looks like you got it covered^^^
Just got the Dojo Edition in the mail today; the ***New Challenger Challenge ***is go!
