Calling TF COD with robots is lazy and halfway untrue, but lazy labels is one of the things the internet excels at best so that ship has sailed.

@deadfrog Here is my impression when I played the PC beta about a month ago. After having played a lot more of the beta my initial thoughts still stand, and taking out a Titan is surprisingly easy because everyone spawns with an anti titan weapon.

I entered for the PC beta code again and got it this time woot. Now I can sell my xbone beta or be nice and give it to one of you guys.

Edit: Just finished my first Titanfall session and all I have to say is DAMN this game is fucking awesome! FYI I haven’t played COD since MW2, but it definitely had the signature COD feel and I say that in a very positive context as it’s fast and intuitive but it’s more like COD+Mirror’s Edge, so it also feels different enough to stand on it’s own. The freedom of movement and emphasis on momentum stands out a lot more than anything else and the titans themselves feel satisfyingly powerful without being OP. It’s pretty damn easy to mow down a few humans when in a titan, but a titan’s lifebar is exactly the same as Halo where the shield regenerates not the lifebar itself so killing a titan is definitely doable by 1 player as long as you take cover in a building, and generally titans attract enough attention to not last long regardless of how skilled you are especially since the dash is limited and there is no jump for titans.

I played the first two modes attrition which is just team death match and hardpoint which is triple king of the hill. Both are really fun, but the mode I was most hype for last titan standing which as the name implies is free for all with everyone starting with a titan and no respawns had no players at all so I couldn’t get a game in that mode, really weird I’d have thought at least a few people would try it out.

Titanfall is every bit as fun and fresh as the hype, I can see myself playing this game for a long time without getting bored like I did with COD.

I played some capture the flag and that shit is fun. I sort of dont like that you’re marked but whatever, shit is still pretty crazy.

Started using the shotgun and its pretty damn powerful. Shotgun and melee is pretty powerful combo.

The game is sharp. Very reminiscent to Unreal and Quake with regards to weapon precision and accruary. Movement is once again important in an FPS.

Skilled players will earn their titans in less than 60 seconds. Camping for 2 minutes is dumb.

Oh and fuck graphics. lol wow

This shit is pretty fast. I get blasted all the time because Im not use to running along/up/over walls and the other dude is.

Hardpoint is my favorite mode.

Been playing through the campaign so I can unlock the other titans. The fuckin’ satchel charges are too fuckin’ good on hardpoint. Capture a point then put a satchel on it and run away, go capture another hardpoint. When I hear the announcer say that that other hardpoint is being taken - click/BOOM! Kill them mothefuckers. Usually get a kill or two and I get to carry three of those satchels. Shit is fucked up.
