I’m surprised pherai posted in this thread and hasn’t told him to go to denjin.
The bandwidth usage will very depending on the application and what it is doing. Streaming (e.g. YouTube videos or a Webcam) in particular use a lot of bandwidth and will likely have an impact. Mind you, the small but noticeable lag online is usually a result of the data having to be transferred between players and not because of network strain on either end.
At the risk of bumping down an important article chronicling the random thoughts of someone we don’t know, I thought I’d give your rather impractical article a nomination. Although what people ate for breakfast is much more important for the community that good gameplay, I thought I’d take a risk with you.
Wow, that was sarcastic even for me.
Anyway, good article. We need more stuff like that on the front page.
Going to arcades = waiting 25-30 minutes between fights if you lose. And you are going to lose since many good sf4 players attend denjin, ffa, and ai here in socal.
After I get better I will try to go to peeps homes and play with them one vs one non stop.
really? is it that long to wait in between games? even when it gets super crowded in NYC, you dont have to wait more than 10-12 minutes.
I somewhat disagree, there is only one way to get better, take your lumps and get your arse whooped by better players on a daily basis. Even if it means a 30 minute wait. I am still in that mode myself. Even of you have to wait around, odnt think about it as wasted time. Talking/spectating also nets you some experience needed to level up.
tell your roommates to stop streaming hd porn
Better yet, I can ask alex valle or another great player if we could practice in their home. I can meet good players in order to play in console, but not in arcades. And I prefer to start playing with “normal” people online without noticeable lag, and then later move up in the fighting skill scale.
