Cold star works well with any character with anyone really. You can call ammy out and if your opponent blocks it you have tons of options.
You can air dash over them and crossup with H. You can jump up and go for hammer in the front. you can go low with crouching L. You can do acid rain before the mixup or if the mixup fails you may have time to go for the acid rain while ammy still has them locked down and go for another mixup. This was all just in theory but it should give you some ideas

Yea your team doesnt really have a high damage output, normally it doesnt matter cause dante is really there to build meter. but its tough for your team
I don’t really like Dante/Ammy anymore. I mean it can work, but its not really that good. Dante can’t even abuse the TAC like most characters can.

I’m thinking about picking up marvel again after kind of a long absence, and i want to build a Dante team. However, i can’t decide on what characters to use around him.
I feel he’s best suited as a second character or in some situations point, not sure about his anchor potential though.
I was thinking about Magneto, for either point or anchor. Or Strange, for Point or second (with dante first). Third character is up for grabs, as long as it isnt Vergil or Zero, as i don’t really like any of those two.
These are my current team candidates,
Mags / Dante / Wesker
Strange / Dante / Something
Something / Dante / Mags
Mags / Dante / Strider
Wolvie / Dante / Something (Wesker?)
sentinel if your into to that kinda thing… But i use jill dante hawkeye or jill dante task is good depending on if you need to make some more damage happen
With your restrictions I think these are good options (no anchor Wesker) :
Viper/Dante/Strider or Magneto
Magneto/Dante/ Doom or Sentinel (I like this one better with Dante 1st or 3rd)
Wesker/Dante/Strider or Magneto
Dormammu/Dante/Magneto (also better with Dante 1st)
I thought about more teams (maybe better ones) but they include Vergil/Zero or are no longer about Dante ( something/Doom/Dante and stuff like that)
Like i said, I have no issue playing dante first, i just like his assist for some characters.
And after looking through this list of yours, I’m inclined to try out Dante / Dormamu / Magneto (or Dante / Magneto / Dormamu) because i used to have Dorm as an anchor.
Also Wesker / Dante / Strider.
If i was to use Vergil, where would i put him? First or last?

you should replace either jam session for weasel shot makes dante pretty safe since he shoots and moves back and can still a somewhat good beam/horizontal assist or replace hidden missiles for plasma beam. I suggest running plasma and keeping jam session it allows jill to become safer on approach with her feral dashes and it would greatly benifit dante in his pressure mix up game
I’m trying to get a new team revolving around Dante. Right now I have: Dante(Jam)/Vergil(Rapid Slash)/??? or ???/Vergil(Rapid Slash)/Dante(Jam Session). I’ve been trying out Sentinel w/ drones but not liking it too much but may use it. Any suggestions for either team?

Best options for supporting both are strider and mags, but that’s if you don’t want to run either either sparda as anchor…
Personally, I’d recommend playing this shell as vergil/dante/x or vergil/x/dante. While Vergil has some options on incoming, he still has no double jump or air dash (unless in DT). He’s also much better at match start than Dante as his normals are much quicker. Lastly, if you start Dante you do not get to abuse jam session. Considering that assist is easily top 5, not to mention Dante’s strong THC, it’s wise to play Dante as second or anchor.
To sum up the above, my recommendation is vergil/dante/(strider/mags)
Thor-b/Dante-a/Felicia-a is stupidly great, killing of everything and you can reset in an incredible amount of ways with little to no trouble, meaning you can use your meter for Mighty Punish,Devil Trigger or Kitty Helper a lot more, it is so fun to play.
After saying that i want more advice of any who uses Thor/Dante on how to use Thor with Jam Session in an effective way, i mean it is godlike for him but i want to step up with Thor so any advice would be great.
I really don’t know why people don’t use more often Dante/Felicia, literally you can reset your opponent all day and thanks to the properties of Felicia’s Rolling Buckler you can use the assist 2 times in the same ‘‘combo’’ to reset your opponent.

Ive heard Dante and Felicia were great together and I’m a huge fan of pure rushdown soo…I wanted to make a fun Spencer team and Spencer/Dante are amazing, how does Spencer/Dante/Felicia sound? good enough neutral overall? I guess I should better ask this in the Spencer section but Dante/Felicia is a big part of it too.
Two command grab chars on one team <:))). It still won’t triumph the Spencer/Dante/Strange but hmhmhm.
Pretty poor neutral overall with that team imo. You want a good horizontal projectile assist like Bolts/Unibeam/Plasma Beam/ Arrows/Daggers/Drones to setup pressure with Dante/Spencer from full screen. Since Dante doesn’t really have a full screen assist for spencer’s pressure, although Weasel Shot is pretty close.
Dante/Felicia works, Spencer/Dante works, but I don’t think it’s optimal to run all 3 on the same team and you are better off picking a strong neutral assist that’s full screen which is optimal for all 3 of those characters. Also if you want to get a herp derp anchor Felicia is good, but you might as well run derpgil or Strider or even Wesker instead. That being said Felicia gives Dante some really stupid unblockable setups off any blockstring or stinger.
I’m kinda looking for a third X/Dante/Strider mold team to mess with and after going through the usual suspects (Viper - current main; Zero - current secondary), I can’t find anyone I like playing with that shell. That being said, I’ve recently been intrigued by playing Jill and figure Doom (Plasma Beam) second would make for one of the more “optimal” point Dante squads. It’d also get me in the mood to actually fuck with TAC infinites and learning how they work in general.
