Just depends on what you like. I have it as Dante/Trish/Vergil right now, but I’m probably gonna switch it to Vergil/Dante/Trish. Vergil gets more damage off of having Dante’s assist there to extend his combos and help with mix ups than Dante gets from Vergil. Trish, I’m used to having as an anchor so I like her in the position. She’s pretty good at making comebacks.
So i guess it’s pretty much to the point where every Dante should be doing the inescapable unblockable. Is Wesker really the best person for this (I know that samurai edge is probably the easiest to use)? I heard Wesker makes Dante’s damage much better, but couldn’t somebody like X-23 do the same thing for Dante that Wesker does for Dante. She has a low assist that otgs and her assist can be used in combos (not sure on the damage). So is there any other reason that I missed that makes Wesker the best option for this?
I don’t know too much about the grapple reset into unblockable ( I only messed around with it a little bit, was a little hard to get the timing down for BC>Grapple ), I wasn’t even really aware X-23 had an assist like that, but if its the one i’m thinking of, I believe it comes out too slow to be too useful but any low hitting assist will work. Wesker doesn’t do too much as far as combo extension goes, most i’ve seen is Hammer>Wesker OTG>Hammer near the end of combos.
As far as viable/competitive characters, I would say the next best option would be Felicia, Rolling Buckler, IIRC, goes the farthest out of all low assists and its fairly hard to punish, not to mention Dark Felicia is probably one of the strongest anchors in the game, probably even toppling Wesker. Deadpools assists is similar to Felicias I suppose, but i’m not too sure about using Deadpool in general, great character and hardly has any bad matchups but theres just something a bit off kilter about him. I’ll figure it out someday but if Felicia and Wesker aren’t good enough for you, Deadpool is surely a viable option.
But just in general Weskers assist is almost always the go-to OTG low hitting assist, just for the amount of hitstun and range it has
I think rainstorm (mash H in air), call Wesker, hammer also works in extensions, but either way the damage done is insignificant. So this unescapable unblockable is grapple, call Wesker, iad. jM/H?

I’ve been playing Dante/Storm/Wesker. For numerous reasons, I really enjoy playing this team. Can easily switch between rush down and (gimped) zoning. Let’s me outlame lame zero’s. And I’ve got all the tools to do it. Before that I was playing Frank/Dante/Wesker, which I think is still a good team. On both of them I give dante weasel shot. I think in certain scenarios it’s a better assist. Not in all, though. I just prefer it with both Wesker and Frank (really wish it was more useful to Storm, though)
What anchor do you guys like for a Dante/ Trish duo? I’m deciding between Strider or Hawkeye. So either Dante (Jam)/ Trish (peek)/ Hawkeye (greyhound) or Trish (peek)/ Dante (Weasel)/ Strider (Vajra).
I usually have a good amount of meter for my anchor, but I’m leaning to Strider on the long run. What duo you guys think?

I’m currently running Viper(?)/Dante(Jam Session)/Strider(Vajra). What assist should I use for viper that would help him out the most? And how viable is my dante using those two assists?
Burn Kick, let’s you do unblockables if you’re so inclined, also causes a soft knockdown (or at least has a lot a lot lot of hitstun) making for easy combo extension. Vajra + Dante is retarded. In a good way.
But are these assists enough o sustain Dante sufficiently? Let’s face it, BK doesn’t exactly come out fast, and it has no invincibility, so it can be dangerous to call. Even then, is what space it covers worth it?
Basically, is my Dante at a disadvantage? I know I could have better assists, but the question is, do I need them?
Not really, I think Vajra is plenty good. Like you said, other assists would make him better, but I don’t think Dante is as dependent on assists as much as other characters are. I tend to only have one assist for neutral, the other one is mostly for combo shit or THC shenanigans.
That’s how I feel, in any case. But my performance in this game isn’t exactly what you could call stellar, so maybe somebody else can provide better insight 
what assists would you guys use to help slow down Zero somewhat… cause I have fuck all of a clue of what to do against the little green nippled bastard
Try Dante, Strider, Akuma… If you like a mixups, reset team with zoning and rushdown capabilities then this team might be for you… Ive been using it for about a week now after playing a few doujin fighters and realising the play style I like and this team does the damn thing
Well… Burning kick unblockables/ tack on an extra 18k damage at the end of a combo… Seismo, Free OTG, OOOORRR since like you said before, your viper usually dies by the point you’re playing dante right? and since you cant seem to figure out what assist to use to compliment dante. Try out thunder knuckle to compliment viper… Crossover counter cancel the thunder knuckle and combo after it. may not be what you’re looking for but it is an option

who are good candidates for dante in second? might settle on a beam but i find that a bit redundant with weasel shot helping nemesis out.
Does anyone know if either Amaterasu or Sentinel are better for my Dante/Magneto team. I’m sure that Dante and Mags both benefit from the drones and cold star but I have no idea which to choose. Any input would be welcome!
Strange/Dante/Dormammu now. great synergy all around, especially for Strange who I built this team around. Dante benefits from Bolts of Balthakk assist for high-low oki, left-rights, or comboing after throw.
