1st post says sign-ups end at 2pm. I think last time the matches started around 3pm.
matches will be running at 2:30 but sign ups will end at 2pm

Yeah, I will. I took some video of 6 cvs2 matches. The 3 between Allen and Tyram, and 3 of the last 4 matches between John B and Tyram. Sory didn’t get the last match, I was running out of space, and didn’t realize it was the final match (4th).

Really good turn out!!! Here’s the deal guys… We did not choose Sunday as a tourny date, TILT as a corporation actually chose Sunday. They (TILT) actually wanted it to be Fridays, for fear that the weekends are busy days, and when tournys are going on, casual gamers and families arent allowed to have access to all the games (ie: people in the way trying to watch matches, people sitting down on sitdown cabinets when paying customers could be playing, etc.). But, I actually think Sunday is a good day for the tournament. There are other locations around that are trying to have tournaments run within the same month, and by TILT doing Sundays, it does allow for another place to do a Saturday tournament. Also, Sundays are generally less busy in the mall and at TILT; so there are less people to get offended by us tournament patrons. I know there are times when we get loud, cuss, smell like smoke (all different kinds of smoke)… and for those that want to bring small kids or families, its a huge turn off and there have been complaints made to both Westfield and TILT. Beyond that, I think that we had a great turn out. It flowed from match to match in a relatively timely fashion, and we were able to run 3 games.

I managed to beast on Randy Lew in the first round and then got beasted by Kelly twice. Somebody tell me how that happens. 
Note to self. Remember how to fight with Watts against IM/Doom again some time. I hear that’s a matchup I might want to win some day. Or maybe it’s time to break out Sent/Cable/BH some more. 
Just dont get hit by IM… But, thats a chore in itself. Good seeing you. Nice playing a semi-match with you before getting peaced out by Collosus (again!!!).

Well, I’ll make an open candid comment here. (Aside from observing the obvious, that I got beasted this time.)
When I saw IM/Cable/Doom the first time he and I played last summer, my initial response was, quite frankly, “ewwwww”. It’s not an insurmountable matchup for Watts, but at the same time there’s a lot of wrinkles and it pretty much is dependent on keeping IM out of there and being very careful.
Well, then the match happened. I honestly am not sure happened to Kelly the first time. After that first game, I was like, “um, okay… BH isn’t in a hopeless position here, but it shouldn’t be a wipeout OCV.” I honestly had wondered at the time if he’d thrown the first game on purpose in order to get some kind of familiarity with the team, because just about every situation where he even just should have blocked, he didn’t. Then the second game went much the same as the first and I just wound up having to shrug it off.
Now Kelly had had almost a year to stew over that and obviously, he had that potential matchup circled in the back of his mind as the one he most wanted to win. And then this time it was my turn to do most everything wrong. I gave up the ground position way too easily. (Hell, I was doing it on purpose in the second match, which is probably a lot of why it went so badly.) Just about every time I could have come down on a launcher and not blocked, I did. (That was one he wasn’t doing the first time, and it’s one I shouldn’t be giving away nearly that frequently.) Just about every time I knew (or should have known) Cable could have shot me for doing something wrong, I did it anyway. I cold tagged BH in on Cable/Doom in the last game not realizing he had a meter (and even if he didn’t, that was just stupid). Hell, I even knew what opening not to use against him (jump straight up with BH against IM) and did it anyway. And, most likely, I was a little overconfident due to the way last summer went and didn’t stop to think enough about what to do differently too hard after losing the first time. :shake:
Good matches though. This time it’s me with mud on my face. Ah well. Next time! playfully shakes fist defiantly :wasted:
