Tiers for obscure games

I posted the tiers for that piece of crap earlier in the thread. Here it is again, edited after further playtesting.

God Tier

  1. Sekka- Her jab is an infinite blockstun in the corner. She has stupidly good moves with high priority on top of being the fastest character in the game. She’s way too good.
  2. Blade- Great tick damage and good combo potential. Hardy enough to take lots of punishment

Top Tier
3) Billy and Jimmy- They’re basically the same character in this game. They have a versatile moveset and they can do excellent tick damage like Blade, best anti-air in the game. Blade can take more hits and his moves do more damage before messing with the attribute points, so the Lee Brothers are weaker than Blade.

Mid Tier
4) Shadow Master- He’d be the best character in the game if he weren’t as punishable as he is, too many of his moves aren’t safe, so mistakes are costly with him
5) Icepick- He has solid moves and is good on defense, poor offensive capabilities due to having trouble getting in against zoning or fast characters

Low Tier
6) Dominique- All she has is good reach and priority. Her damage output is too low and her combo potential is low

Butt Tier
7) Bones- He sucks at everything. His moves do decent damage, but he has too little combo potential and he takes a lot of damage. Moves have too much lag

Anyone have tier lists for these?

NES
-Kart Fighter (fighter based on mario kart)
-Master Fighter 2 (SF2, but with only 5 characters - ryu, guile, chun, gief, dictator)

TurboGrafx-16/PC-Engine
-Strip Fighter 2

Neogeo MVS/AES

3.Ryu
4.Chun-li

1.Boxer
2.Dictator
3.Blanka
4.Sagat
5.Guile
6.Chun-li
7.Ryu/Ken

Cool, any things of particular interest behind those tier lists?

The arabian guy was Al-Rashid, but he wasn’t that good and that’s due to his speed, he’s ok at best. Top 2 are definitely Koyasha and Takeshi then Xiao long/Ned. Hellknight, namira and ragnar stand out after that and everyone esle is pretty even. The only person that really sucks is probably mordus kull.

Ugghh, I remember Mace…I always wished that game was better, but it was so awful.

Wartech: Senko no Ronde

S Tier
Any Sakurako: Even though her main attack strength was reduced by an update, she can still control the flow of any battle with her mines. Her mine field allows her to either go on the offensive or turtle Her BOSS Mode also has ridiculously good firing speed and is safe if she’s in Vanish Mode. There’s a reason that she’s bandwagoned at tournaments.

Cuilan (B Cartridge): Cuilan has the best defensive capabilities in the game and is almost as fast as Fabian. Cuilan with the B Cartridge can fight anyone because Cuilan has some of the most devastating close ranged combos and can safely turtle when necessary. His Ranged combat potential kinda sucks, but it doesn’t matter when he has an iron wall defense which can lead into close quarter battle.

Changpo (B Cartridge): Changpo has the most versatile move list in the game and this cartridge actually allows her have the best close combat skill in the game. Her only close quarter rival is Cuilan, but Cuilan players would probably fight defensively against Changpo because she can litter the screen with bullets or rush him down. Her Sweet Roll is not only a close ranged attack, but it shoots out bullets as well. The Sweet Roll is one of the best, if not best moves in the game.

A Tier
Cuilan (A Cartridge): The A Cartridge boosts Cuilan’s attack strength, which is nice but hinders his ability to fight close ranged due to the lower speed. Decreased defense also makes hits hurt a lot more with this cartridge when Cuilan already takes the most damage per hit in the game.

Ernula (A Cartridge): She is the only character in the game that can routinely kill BOSS Mode characters in seconds flat. Her Beam attacks when they connect drain a shit load of energy from the opponent’s Charge gauge which makes them unable to defend themselves or go into overdrive mode. The lasers from her BOSS Mode do tons of damage but can be telegraphed. That is offset by the duration making the shield near useless against her BOSS Mode.

B Tier
Fabian (A Cartridge): Fabian has a pretty poor defensive game, but with the A Cartridge, he can pepper the opponent with his projectiles before doing hit and run in melee. What keeps him from the A Tier is that his BOSS Mode is the most easily killed and has underwhelming attacks compared to other BOSS Mode characters.

Ernula (B Cartridge): Same as her A Cartridge except that she loses Ranged attack strength when she’s too slow to be effective in close combat.

Changpo (A Cartridge): Changpo’s speed is average by default, so the reduced speed causes her to lose for free to the higher tier characters and lose her rush down potential.

C Tier
Any Mika: Mika has a good pressure game with his missiles and can launch them at controlled intervals to play mind games and set traps, but he really has nothing to make himself stand out since he’s otherwise average. At least he has the best close combat attack while in BOSS Mode, which will hit often. His BOSS Mode is the most versatile in the game, so it can be used to keep people guessing.

Fabian (B Cartridge): Fabian will probably be the fastest character in the game unless Cuilan has his B Cartridge, so adding more speed is not only redundant, but his Ranged damage would become below average which would have him losing to a good player, especially Ernula or Mika.

D Tier
Any Karel: Karel has the most pathetic close quarter attack in the game and his specials are mostly ass. He depends too much on his Rifle to do damage without BOSS Mode activated and his pressure game is non-existent. He does good damage and can take a lot, but he is damn slow. He has one of the best BOSS Modes in the game, which puts him above Lili.

E Tier
Any Lili: Lili just kinda sucks all around. Her stats are mostly bad, but she has the best potential for playing mind games and has a useful teleport. The real kicker is that her BOSS Mode can be pretty predictable and she has to fight mid to close range in order to have access to her better moves, which sucks because she’s slow and has tissue paper defense. She’d be a lot better if she could take more damage.

Here we go, go, go to the temple of consumption!

Obviously you’re a complete n00b, everyone knows that Sean is by far the best character in the game.

DBZ: Taiketsu tiers anyone? This game’s so bad I forgot it existed.

BTW I’ll double check Sonic Battle once I find my GBA because I definately remember being able to block the 2nd or 3rd hit of Shadow’s string.

Tier listing for DC JoJos bizarre Adventure?

But he’s more advanced to master, and really has no jumping attacks whatsoever. He can only really snag gems by throwing things or using items, he also has really bad reaching skills to combo into so you really have to side-step with him and lure the opponent out for cheap shots (in which he does well, but why bother in the first place and put yourself in danger time after time)

He has bad strength in 1, and his transformation supers are awful. Even the homing one misses at times - if used correctly yes he can be effective but I don’t see why people would even bother with him because he really isn’t safe at times.

+1. Goddamn that was a horrible fighter.

Anyone got tiers for Weaponlord?

Jack’s reverse spin attack has a lot of range and puts your invisible stun meter up quite a bit. His jumping punch when used at a low point of your fall is actually very hard to punish and gives more stun than any jump attack in the game (and yes this can be spammed, and it is really hard to deal with). And unlike some characters when Jack stuns you he has time to do whatever he want. A well played Jack is nearly impossible to approach so you are left throwing stuff and trying to use items against him… and still that doesn’t go too far. He really isn’t that unsafe to use… you just have to know what your doing with him ahead of time.

His supers aren’t that bad. His blade spin super is used when the opponent has bounce stun, it does nice damage. His homing knives may not do much to the faster characters… but it simply rapes the slower characters.

I still think he is better than Rouge and Ryoma overall. He is also a good counter for Galuda (who I feel is one of the best characters in the game) and other slow characters.

BTW, I hate Jack and his spinners.

I know Chaka was top in the 1st jojo. He had stupid brain dead combos.

Vortz rules! Tuff e Nuff ftw!!!

Anyone ever spend enough time with Rumble Roses to make a tier list?

Ichiro is top tier IMO there, fucking retarded game, better than War Gods, though.

Clay Fighter 63 1/3 Bad Mr. Frosty & Mudman are damn invincible  Although Sumo Santa seems pretty enjoyable to play with lol

Icky Bod and Taffy actually. Every one in the game has situational infinites dependent on stage but Taffy and Icky Bod are the only ones with legit infinites.

Who the fuck is muddman? Do you mean Blob? Blob is really good. Crazy good combos with solid damage. He’s easily top 5.

I didnt know you played Clayfighters 63 1/3, I used to play it when I was pretty young, its a very fun game
