well i suck at turtle .
Ranās primary use is as a team-up, as you can juggle pretty easily after it, particularly with Momo.
Hayato/Momo/Ran ftw

I used to beast pretty hard with Batsu, Iām kind of surprised that heās ranked C, but I never go by tiers anyways. I never really had problems winning with anyone (competitively), of course I have my personal favorites: Batsu, Roy, Hayato, Daigo, Kyosuke, etc. The only one that I couldnāt really pick up after some practice was Gan, heās just too damn big.
^I think the tier list posted on the first page was flawed anyways. Kaneās right, it really should have Rob/Momo/Roy at the top. Boman/Iincho at the bottom, as well.
Been playing this game some more (against CPU, ugh), and is Royās team-up the only one that will combo off of Daigoās b.hk launcher?
Also, is it just me, or does Zakiās QCFx2 + P have priority over everything?
yup , canāt be dodged .
and can be comboed after 1 standing lk .
Guys donāt believe the tier listing.
according to pachi (japanese ggxx player), the japanese say hideo is #1 in the game, no question
he has an infinite, can turtle behind air fireballs (and combo after if they hit), and can run away forever with whiffed dive kicks
Take that, tier list nonbelievers. :arazz:
that Roy infinite is strange, what if I safe fall?
I think certain moves are too fast or donāt allow for safe fall, a la V-ism stuff in SFA3.
I donāt have access t PJ atm so I canāt check though.
I still think that āI based it off combo vidsā in your initial post was not very believable. IMO combo vids arenāt usually a very good gauge of tiers and of what some character can normally do practically. Persona stuff is often fancy.
That and I still think Rob belongs in S.
yay for hideo! but yeah, robertoās always a debatable one. i personally think he belongs in s tier simply for his damage, but only at the bottom of s tier.
the only thing i could think of that would make 4649ās tier list somewhat tentative is the unexplored potential of guard breaks or unblockables, like which characters have them, which can counter them, which have good set-ups, etc.
video coming soon? hehe
edit: hopefully i can get some matches up too
ā¦ok that is really fuck up ~ i hate āuntouchableā , such as 2i ibuki and GGXX#S chipp.:arazz:
For the love of god, what bucktooth said makes sense. Nobody can beat Roberto up close and he has a good zone game.
But if Hideo can do that with his air fireballs, then maybe Roberto can be beaten.
Makes me wanna play the game again.
i only use Berserk Daigo and Momo (tennis girl):wgrin: and that lady teacher
Fuck tiersā¦just pick people based on how cool their tag team supers are. Daigoās is always amusing. Not quite sure about that swimmer guy, what the fuck is up with that? I wonder if this game would ever get a sequel, Capcomās best 3D fighting game in my opinion.
Have fun losing in 2p then.
they just want to end it this way , because the voice actor of hyo imawano died .
The death of a VA means nothing really. Capcom has recast all of itās major chars at least once in SF.
The REAL reason weāll never see a sequel is that when someone mentions Rival Schools, everyone says āHuh?ā
In terms of popularity it goes:
Devil May Cry
Resident Evil
Mega Man (OG/X/EXE/Zero)
Street Fighter
Final Fight
Ghouls ānā Ghosts
Darkstalkers
Rival Schools
Megaman Legends
Everything else.
And since whenever I mention Capcomās most popular fighting game, Street Fighter, everyone goes āyou still play that?ā, and the closest weāve gotten to a new fighting game from Capcom is Hyper Street Fighter Alpha + Capcom Fighting Jam (two half games equals one whole one right?), and Project Justice hasnāt been ported to anything but DreamCast, weāll never see another Rival Schools game.
Though the fact that there is a Rival Schools comic gives me hopeā¦
