Thoughts on Blanka being nerfed again and again and again

I play Blanka like T SRAI (in style, and walk up jab xx electricity use), and I think I’d be more successful if I played like Mizoteru (mash that shit down, turtle, gimmicks).

That’s what saddens me. A great player like T SRAI (Chari, was it?) has achieved less than Mizoteru.

That’s all I have to say.

Anyways, I’m not sure, I think Blanka is kinda weak in the SF4 series. I don’t really see him as a gimmick character like most do. Just some things have never made sense to me. Like being able to sweep him during his startup on his rolls, being grabbed out of a hop (all previous SF’s he was considered to be off the ground on the first frame).

Why characters like fuerte, rose and dhalsim all have slides that recover extremely quick but blanka has a super punishable amazon slide and people bitch and moan.

A lot of the cast get a guaranteed hit on blanka even if his ball lands clean (hi rog and sim). Yet people still bitch and moan.

Only dumbasses complain about blanka, you gotta earn wins with blanka in high level play. Part of playing him is to be tricky, but there is a huge line there because blanka doesn’t have a lot of mixups that are safe.

I’ll never understand the whiners, but I always use blanka as a secondary simply because he’s fun.

although everybody suffers the same type of lag… i do understand why people complain about Blanka more than other characters… when interrupting Blanka ball and punishing blanka ball is a big part of anti-blanka… if you can’t do it properly because of lag… that really sucks.

If people are complaining about Blanka offline… they are simply scrubs.

They might as well take his horizontal ball away completely, everyone hates them. i wouldn’t mind.

im’ quite excited to see his changes, however it seems they’re only tweaking frames, i dont know how much mileage blanka players can get out of a few extra frames of hitstun or reduced start/recovery on normals. wont reall help players who nail his combos already do more damage when given half a chance.

I don’t know…they may be doing more interesting things.

Juri’s walk speed is increasing and her fireball is gaining new properties, so…anything is possible.

Maybe the best thing for Blanka would just to simply give him a life boost and damage increase. If he’s going to be all gimmicks and high risk medium reward stuff, at least let us guess wrong one more time than other characters.

Honestly if they were to give ANYTHING back to blanka…all i would want is his Ultra Damage back…n thats it…

freaking sucks… gotta wait AT LEAST another 2 weeks before we get to hear about the actual nerfs…

The ball needs a speed boost… ST Blanka ball FTW!! If it’s easily punished we should have at least one reason to use it. I’d like to be able to Lp ball into throw again. =P

Probably going to get a lot of crap for that but in all honesty we need something other than electricity to keep the pressure rising. Sure we can turtle but so can every other character… MASHING JAB AHHHHH!! Blanka is all skill brothas.
