You’re pressing the hk too fast. You can’t chain the lk to hk. You have to press hk when you see him pull back the lk. Just slow it down and press it a little faster til you get the rhythm
Do do s.LK, s.LK, s.HK~s.LK to plink it for a little more consistency.

lmfao I’ve had a few Ken’s full screen ultra and I’m always fucking excited/baffled when it happens. And I do taunt online, depending on the situation. Mostly counter-taunts, or strategy taunts (taunt #1 starts and cancels faster than other taunts, it seems to me). But shit like empty DR over a dude who wakeup ultra’s the empty corner or a dude i have cornered who’s too terrified to move, hell yeah I’m taunting. I’m still fucking pissed I has no throat slit taunt.

just finished playing bison in AE at my local arcade. shit damn that was good stuff.
anyway, here are my thoughts for those who may be interested:
push back on l.sk is NOTICEABLE. in situations where you’d be able to do the scissor loop 3 times, you can only do it twice. in situations where you could do it twice, you can only do it once. pretty much subtracts one guessing/mind game opportunity from bison. if you’re the kind of bison who liked to back up after the first or second scissors to try to bait something then grab them with a c.short, you won’t like this very much. i know i didnt
damage nerf on s.rh is NOTICEABLE. i played an extremely good zangief in the scene and i was afraid to use s.rh to keep him away. i opted for c.fierce instead… but it’s only a matter of time before he realizes that empty jumps will destroy that
c.short being more ‘vulnerable’ was NOT noticeable. i couldnt see a difference at all.
motion change on u2 is AWESOME and you really see that extra 30 damage.

ive been playing in real life more…or rather just avoiding the internets completely and its helping my play a lot!
is there any new bison technology discovered? or are things relatively same old same old?
also AE bison is…fine. He’s relatively nerfed so it’s not a ‘real’ nerf and scissor kick pushout is REAAAAL bad but that depends on whether or not you want to look at that as a relative nerf as well. I didn’t feel like it hurt my game too much though but it’s still a disappointment and highly unnecessary. AE just seems so random overall. I mean Oni and Evil Ryu? Gief with an SPD distance that rivals my st.forward’s poke range? meh I’ll just keep playing console edition until DLC but then MVC3 will be out and no one will give a shit.
ugh imo AE is actually kind of killing a lot of the hype, at least for me. Mid Feb can’t come fast enough.

lauda i agree. Some of the nerfs were necessary (Honda damage nerf), but some of the shit is just so out of place, that I doubt I will pay money for AE. 2 new characters, 2 new versions of Akuma/Ryu, and most of your favourite characters now suck more.

I am with you on this. If they brought it as an update to the game, sure. If I had to pay to play the new characters, I’m cool with that. Balance tweaks are things I see FPS patch all the time, why can’t they do the same. Most of us have already paid for this game twice, third time is not a charm IMO. If they release it as disc content, I am surely waiting for about 6 months.
MVC3, I’m getting a little antsy about pushing the button for this. Any word if Bison is in the game?

I’m 99.9% sure Bison isn’t in it at this point. From a credible person they said they were considering either Juri, Bison or Akuma. Juri was eliminated first and then Bison was finally cut for the reason of appealing more to weeaboos and shotoscrubs who dickride Akuma.

Please do, I honestly have no idea how to play him. Usually by fighting other good characters online I learn by osmosis but I have never fought a Vega who does anything other than random wall dives and just spam his claw pokes. Your Vega actually combos!!
