yeah you lose a shit load. My connection craps out on me sometimes (I’m getting an upgrade in a few weeks. It has to still be wireless tho because they don’t do fiber in my area :< ) and it counts as a d/c. Lmao I once had up to a 4% d/c rate because of that. It’s down to 0% now though o.O

tommorow we are having some guy come in to take a look at our ratfuck internet connection. I’m not expecting ssf4 online to be much better because it will still be wireless, but it will be very nice to be able to play without random d/c. Also it would be great to be able to upload 3 min replays in 5-7 mins instead of 35-40 =/

well he came finally. Wowwwwwwww no wonder my connection was shit. The guy who installed it did bare bones stuff. It was on the weakest signal channel, the signal could get knocked off by things like microwaves to cell phones, slow as shit ect. We got an upgrade and now i can upload vids that use to take 40 min in 10 mins. I’m about to see if online ssf4 is better, it has to be. He did say though for gaming i might need to buy some extension at best buy because the console is on the other side of the house in regards to the router, and there’s a lot of walls it’s going through. At least i won’t get d/c randomly. Here’s to hoping I can actually do Bison’s 5-8 hit combos online in this improved connection like i can do offline. His combos seem to have more strict time than Juris. I pretty much got to a B with him by living off of his normals, tic throws, out spacing and baiting and punishing.

edit: oh yeah and the occasional time out… that is if opponent doesnt rage quit on me

so i tried the new connection on ssf4. It’s still laughaby bad. =/ In fact, there is no improvement. It’s because there’s so many walls between my console and the router and the house is huuuge. I can either get the extension or move my stuff downstairs… but I rather not do that because my poodles will just harass me while im playing lol. I’m not surprised. I can’t even connect to wifi on my Nintendo DS unless I go downstairs. At least I won’t get d/c? Either way im done with ranked. I might just quit online though. Online in any fighter is always a joke. Truly. Online combo videos are even more of a laugh to me though. I thought people stopped that shit 5 years ago

There is an arcade in Houston… Planet Zero. It may have AE. That hole was my first Brawl tourny… terribad venue for the amount of people who showed up. I left early sick. :arazz:

Arcade UFO in Austin is the best place to go for AE in Texas.

You should check the San Antonio thread in Southwest Matchmaking, there are a lot of strong players down there.
