Why would anyone run a street fighter tourny on laggy tvs/monitors? Are you sure it was the fact that you aren’t used to the offline transition? I dont think Ive had any issues playing bison offline. Matter a fact. I love it! Whoever thinks online is a good tool to get better is wrong. Maybe to play against random scrubs who mash shit out and dont get randomed at a tourny but other than that. It does not work…Also, not Trolling. Just what I think.

Good job on that tournament. I think we’re havin a ver 2012 tourny this Thursday…Im hoping to go and use the new technology!

it wasn’t awful awful, but enough to be noticeable. Other people were having teching issues as well. For myself, it was like if I tech’d correctly it was because I didn’t react in time and tech’d late- I would of been grabbed if it was on my monitor. Maybe my TV is just quicker? I feel there was clear input because I was having a few issues focusing seth’s sonic boom and ryu’s fireball a few times. I’m not blaming it on anything, I just need to get use to those set-ups because having issues teching is a big issue, and no two frame= no sk combo= no knockdown=less damage= less mixup potential

(as Bison didn’t have those problems as it is lol)

i sell psycho power and psycho power accesories

The combination of that and your avatar have had me laughing for 10 minutes

Glad you repped Bison. Texas Bar Fights (if that’s the tournament you’re talking about) uses ASUS VH236H official Evo monitors. They’re not truly lagless (1/2 frame of lag on average) but it’s so close that it’s a much higher probability that it’s your home TV/monitor that lags and that the Bar Fights monitors just feel off.

wouldn’t make sense. I tech correctly when I do it late, so wouldn’t that make it slower? Are you saying I need to be faster? It’s cool though I’ll figure it out

The ASUS VH236H is the standard for LCD monitors. Most people don’t feel a difference between CRTs and an Evo Monitor (not saying it’s not there though). If you have a CRT TV/Monitor, it’s likely that your TV/monitor IS lagless (and thus less laggy) than the monitors at the tournament. If not, it’s very unlikely. There’s only a handful of monitors that most consumers would buy that are less laggy than the VH236H and most of those are bought specifically because of their low input lag.

As for your teching question- People miss techs for any number of reasons. If we’re going to talk about timing specifically, then you can be thrown if you tech too early OR if you tech too late. Tech too late and you miss the tech throw window. Tech too early and your normal comes out which will get thrown on startup. An example of this is crouch teching and swearing that you see your cr. short come out even though you’re getting thrown. I wasn’t there to watch your matches so I’m not really sure which situation you’re facing.

It’s obvious that you weren’t used to the timing though since you said you were having trouble focus absorbing projectiles. I use that as my personal “test for lag.” I focus absorb fairly efficiently usually and if there’s lag, the focus absorb will either be slow or I’ll constantly keep getting hit by the projectile I’m trying to absorb. Personally if I think there’s lag, my execution goes way downhill since I start second-guessing myself. I would imagine that the lag that you felt was in the back of your mind heavily affecting your execution as well.

my monitor might just be god like and im spoiled with it. I’m pretty sure that’s it. It feels very crisp, responsive… the one I played on felt a little slower… like it was drugged lol. I pretty much only played on 1 monitor for the entirety of all of my games. Regardless of what’s laggy or not, I’m going to have to learn how to play on all of them, so practice should solve that issue. Thanks for your feedback and support though. And yes, it was bar fights.

Wellp either way, rep that Bison. Good job and good luck.

thanks. I will. I’ve been playing on the same really nice monitor for a year so I gotta get out of my comfort zone. I’m on the right track, so I should continue to improve.

clkclkclkclklkp fadc reps seem easier in ver.2012

yup. Also im not seeing any stealth nerfs kim was speaking of. Zero. Psycho crusher seems to work correctly, same with head stomp

I agree^ tested EX PC full screen it still reaches the opponent.

Bad news is chun can punish EX PC on block point blank with EX legs to U2. Dem EX Legs look super good now.

Bisons st.rh felt better to me hitbox wise, but I think I’m just overthinking things.

Getting about 600 stun off FADC combos. Not too bad. Wished I had T.O.D. combos to be honest.

edit: 670 stun off j.HP -> Close s.HP xx HK Knee Press FADC c.LP, c.LP, s.LK, c.MK xx HP Psycho. This is a good reward for jumping in.

Was EX-legs buffed then? I already had nothing but respect for that move, does not really change things anyway, its not like Chun-Li can’t punish anything Bison does for big reward as it is, or was.

Not sure about it being blocked up in front, but she has always been able to EX-Legs if Bison passes her and recovers not too far away (i.e. poorly spaced EX-Psychos)

Evil Ryu’s damage just went through the roof, holy crap. srk fadc hk axe kick juggles for untechable knockdown

lk axe kick fadc’s to close mp which cancels into whatever. lk axekick combos from his cr.mk, but luckily that move is still unsafe on block.

Yeah, EX-legs was buffed to move forward a bit more

Yeah man, I mean point blank though. Like right in their face getting out the corner.

Also yeah EX legs got better more range. Chun got a buff on her cr.lk also

Bison - Ryu in 2012? 1-9, gatto get to work on that Balrog.
