I hear so much about how Mugen blows, that it’d be nice to get in on some GOOD Mugen.

Also, it seems like I can just upload and play? Thumbs up.

yeah i just got winmugen and i think it’s pretty cool. any suggestions on a good joystick to buy and where i can buy an adapter ? the version i have crashes alot also:sad: any tips on fixing this prop? any help givin is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

i have a mugen game that is a gig big… EVERY character modified to be balanced, i re-did alot of hit boxes and a majority were my own creations. Mugen was my life for a LONG time… along with diablo II. It lasted for me from 98-2002 and 5 years of work on this game is alot. I use to be able to bang out characters on a weekly to bi-weekly basis and have them be superb. Course characters like reu and king tiger’s evil ken and ryu blow them out of the water.

The main point to the game i made was that in team mode you could switch players in game like in mvc2… a few simple lines of code for each character allowed that

It also used a nice concept where a program was made with all new select.ini files but you needed the password from some people’s endings to unlock them. The program basically just unlocked the folder and moved it to your data folder since the program was in the same base folder mugen was in.

Ex: beat it with ryu, imput code 33302 into program, re-start mugen, evil ryu now on select screen.

i got promission from mario to edit his, so i have him all edited and balanced alpha style.

All that isn’t going to mean a thing for any of us until you share

Wow this is really good, now I’m kind of mad I didn’t see this sooner. With a roster like this it’s tough picking just a team of four. I’ve got some issues though. It will randomly crash for no reason. Memory shouldn’t be a problem because I have 384 MB ram and about a gig of virtual memory. Anybody know what might be wrong and how to fix it.

Are there any error messages that pop up after it crashes? If so, it might help us if you gave that extra info. Also, when does it usually crash? During gameplay, or right after loading screens?

Unfortunately, I don’t get any error messages. If I had some I could probably fix it on my own. It will randomly just crash and go back to my desktop. It has happened to me once after configuring my stick, once in character select, and about five or so times in play. Seems to have not crashed on me yet while simply playing single arcade. I’m gonna try messing around with it a bit today, I really hope it gets fixed because this is really fun.

I finally got it to download. This time the speed didn’t drop to 4kbs, maybe it was a filefront server problem? Anyways, nice work. Is it just me or is Rock Howard unable to run? I bet you will fix a lot of these issues with the sequel though. Keep up the good work.

Fix Rock Howard being able to run? He’d have to be able to code that- the game is a just a collection of characters with custom music that he added to stages and characters from different creator’s websites. Anyone that wants to add to this or make their own game can do so by adding to the select.def which opens with notepad or word pad. Any file with the extension “def” at the end of it can be opened with notepad. The stages and characters were downloaded from different websites and added to the select def. The same thing with the music as well. The basic info for adding characters and stages is in the DOCs folder which comes with the default version of mugen which can be found here:

Yeah FileFront’s been getting slow lately- it slows down to low levels after 5-10 min now. It took me hours to get some graphic packs the other day from it.

Michiyo…from playing ctrl alt del, I can see one possible mugen vs game you could create from 2 games that play and are visually similar (in terms of special effects): Guilty Blood: Guilty Gear vs Melty Blood.
