anyone got some match vids with spidey and none of them spidey mirror matches pls. spider vs spider isnt fun to watch for me. i dont need combos i need some neutral game and match up knowledge. people can type out neutral tips and match ups. but i wanna see them in matches . kep thanks.
Since you’re using Tony, you can watch Otavio’s vids. There’s nothing much to it though since most players just web ball xx zip behind a beam assist.
If you can save your beam assist though, Spidey can pull off some mixups after doing a blocked jump attack depending if they push block or not. If they don’t pushblock just continue whatever pressure play you know. If they do pushblock your jump in, you have time to call your beam and stand zip without them being able to up-back. You can get fake and true (opp. away from corner) crossup jMs from the zip if they crouch which can be easily confirmed off the beam call. If they don’t crouch block, you can do multiple overheads, empty jumps from zip (opp. height or corner dependent), dash low or cH, etc.
I’m trying to switch to plasma beam assist now because triple arrows can’t give those mixups but looking for a decent enough extender and DHC/THC damage dealer who can use Doom plasma or assist point Doom is quite difficult. Dorm with plasma isn’t that oppressive, Vergil with Doom doesn’t have a TAC, Storm is okay but her assists are hard to use for combo extension, Dante’s combos are scaled too much, etc.

I’ve been busy w/ family & work but i’ve been thinking bout recording some matches against morr/doom/ver & zero may cry for strategic purposes this weekend.

@Raoh so sorry lag was horrible for us, I saw 1 red bar for connection n my eyes began to roll into my head. But for the most part big ups again on being bold enough to attempt a few combos n having success. Like I said when I play ps3 i’m dealing w/ lag from connection n lag from my cheap ass converter for my fightstick. But still ggs nonetheless n perhaps somehow we’ll get lag free games in one of these days.
Aus internet isn’t that good. Haha. I’m trying to play without missiles now. It may be better for my Hawkeye in the long run as it will keep me from playing unsafe.
As a matter of fact that’s exactly why I don’t use missles anymore myself. Its been a year & some months since i’ve really used them. I think its not only benefical toward better defense but it forces you to learn how to play chrcs better w/ out relying on missles to solve everything. Too many Spidey players hide behind them or only use it for combo extensions.
Missiles work really well with some of the top tiered characters which make it look better than it actually is.
That said, it is the best combo extender for Spidey plus it also works as a decent incoming lockdown assist. As for having it as Spidey’s primary go to neutral assist, just switch to plasma beam instead.

Good games Layo. In the last game when DIMS started Taskmaster against your Spider-man, I think you should have been wave dashing/plink dashing in with greyhound assist whenever he would jump up and do horizontal arrows with Tasky.
