Yeah if you’re just doing a typical tourney session it just randomizes the bracket. It kinda has to since it’s only 8 people any way. Not a whole lot of leeway for fairing up brackets for 8 people.
Yeah . . . . sorry I missed it. Couldn’t exactly get a PS3 to borrow.
It’s cool. We only got 5 people to show any way. I think the time it started may have been too early for some of the west coast US people cuz they would have had to wake up 8AM on a Saturday to participate. I know I’d still be sleeping cuz I always stay up on Fridays. LOL.
Well it went just as you’d expect a meeting of people online on this freaking platform called GGPO, it was especially bad against Hyper_Bolt, I could only see him teleport all over the screen.
Either way, I’d like to thank all that at least gave it a chance, but unless everyone has godly connections, it’s simply impossible to get acceptable gameplay, however I will say this as closure: you’re damn strong, DevilJin, easily the best player I found in all of OE since I started playing there. Even if it didn’t frameskip so much, I doubt I could’ve done anything to beat you even once. Cheers, man, you made me happy already.
I’m guessing I was the only West Coast player there. Everyone was a red connection, except for DevilJin in the beginning, but then he become red too.
Aww crap, I just got up, you guys got it over with already I guess
Yea the lag didn’t help… it was great to play with u guys
The only person I had really hard lag with is kumadoken but I’m not really sure what specific area he’s from. The colored ping system is wonky in general because I would have a yellow bar with Cramped Douglas but then later on during our session he would just randomly go red. Either way whether he was yellow or red I had pretty much no real delay or teleport lag with him and I have my GGPO lag set to zero. I had some teleporting with Alex since it was an orange bar but otherwise it was very playable IMO. I generally like how GGPO doesn’t slow the inputs.
The one time I played on Xbox I noticed Xbox does a better job approximating the pings. Like you see a lot more greens and yellows. It’s rare to get a green with someone on PSN but if I get a yellow it feels just about the same as a yellow or green on Xbox. That’s why I wish the game had ping numbers so you’d get a more accurate representation. If you get red connections with people that are realistically more like yellows or greens then something’s wrong.
Yeah the colored coins don’t do jack shit in representing ping, it’s really just stupid. At least on GGPO, the PC one, in every game you can see the ping of players, and anywhere 100 and below is acceptable. Who the hell knows which color represents 100 or less ping now? And how broad is the represented ping range by each color? Man, fuck Capcom… They used to be way more competent than this with their games, now they just dish out cheapness and laziness with everything to cash in quick buck. What’s sad is that it works.
I was up and ready for this earlier, but my internet connection decided to shut off for 3 hours
I’ve gotten European players and had green and man was that shit laggy… is green like 130> ping?
No one knows
