I don’t think there will be any more new characters. We’re too soon until release without the announcement. Surely there would have been an announcement by now of more characters to get more hype to try and generate more sales.
I don’t think there will be any new characters. There doesn’t need to be either. 40 or so characters is plenty.
I was still hoping for 1 more, there are currently 39 characters in AE.
I really hoped one of those: Rolento, Poison or Elena would make it in AE.
I’m still very much rooting for Poison’s first appearance in an official SF game with SFxTK. The twitter campaign will go on.

Yay for AE: They broke the game’s balance, because they feel it “brings the community together” to have an unbalanced fighter. And they introduced Evil Ryu, a waste of a character slot. Now, Oni is a little bit more interesting, and an OP Yun with a dash of Top Tier Yang.
Good job, Capcom, you managed to make the last iteration not as good as it’s predecessor. Well, it’ll be better than vanilla, but that’s not hard to do.
If this is our last version, make it a balanced and solid one, please.
And give us somebody really interesting, like Poison, Elena, Karin, or Q (although I am happy to see Yun and Yang in it, but, man, the balancing).

I meant Poison as a playable character. She was also in all of Guy’s stages back in the alpha series before 3S too.
I can absolutely one hundred percent guarantee this will not happen. IF (and the possibility of it happening is next to none already) we were to get new characters, they would be SF4 versions of existing characters.

AE came out with the huge treat of Yun & Yang, once that got boring they planned to release Evil and Oni. Once again after that gets old they plan to release the last two. This is capcom’s way of dragging things out to make interest last.

Ya, and capcom knew the roster for super BEFORE vanilla even came out. They’ve had this planned out!!!
how do I know? if you back track in the years past to the months leading up to the release of Vanilla, Ona trolled us with surveys asking us who we wanted to see in vanilla. Every character on these surveys has made it onto the roster now, some made their debue in super while others made it in vanilla. The only character on that list yet to make an appearance is Hugo.
You gotta be a bigger troll than ono to think the new characters end with oni and evil.
