The Zero MvC3 "Team" Thread

I’ve been runnin Zero/Hulk/Sent since release seems to be best for me.

Been workin with Shuma a lot and want to play him with Zero but stuck with Shuma/Hulk/Sent right now lol.

Anyone else think Shuma would work great with Zero?

tried some shuma/zero the other day, shuma assist are really bad for zero combos mystic ray is hard to hit afer the senzuisan and because of the knockdown is not even good for mixups, mystic stare scales the damage way too much, haven’t tried with mystic smash tough but i don’t believe it is good also the dhc potential is not that good with shuma you have to be in the corner to dhc on zero.
i was dissapointed, i wanted to use shuma too

The only thing I can get working is some ground combo into Sougenmu into Lunch Rush. It’s not Rekkouha, but it could be useful if you have Hadangeki assist because Tron could sure use help with the zoning.

ok, if i maybe honest. The team i actually work best with is X-23/Zero/Sent. I’m good at using these 3 at point than i am with using doom. However, i just feel that the team lacks chemistry and Zero and X have bad vitality. I still use it as a default when i can’t beat my opponent though.

This team does surprisingly work extremely well with each other. Ill look forward to more info on this team. Inferno works very well w/ the other two as well as Skrulls torch.

the problem with that team is that you cannot combo into weapon x prime so you lose the dhc trick into sougenmu
x-23/zero or sent/ doom sounds like a better chemistry team

Here’s the easiest way to DHC from Zero to Tron. You need to a Full buster and an Assist that can pick up from Zero’s OTG Dive. I dunno if Gustaff Fire can but I know for a fact that if you delay the dive long enough, Doom’s Plasma Beam can. So pretty much do your combo into Knockdown, Call Doom, OTG Dive, Beam hits, Relaunch>j.MM>lvl3 Buster> Air Light Hienkyaku, Land and then activate Sougenmu. You can then DHC into Lunch Rush before they hit the ground and it’ll get them. Timing is very easy too. You won’t get a lot of Damage(Only about 580,000 with the combo I used) BUT its an easy way to get Zero out if you really need to and if you’re using Plasma Beam and Hadangeki Assists, this will give Tron a lot of ground cover from Assists to get in.

Honestly with Zero/Doom, I think people underestimate how effective Plasma Beam is. Hidden Missles are great, but they’ll fuck up your combos and Zero NEEDS to be able to hit his combos every time to be effective. Plasma Beam does a lot of damage, has a lot hits to keep them blocking for a long time, great for crossups since they fly right to you and allows easy combo extensions from OTG Dive.

Also Zean, were you referring to X-23/Zero/Sentinel not being able to connect Weapon X Prime or X-23/Zero/Doom?? Cause I know you can do it if you have Doom Rocks assist.

Zero/Doom works great together. DHC Rekkoha into sphere flame does great damage. Beam assist covers you to get in and can help deal with projectile characters. Best Doom assist for Zero imo.

So how do you people that have Sent on your team feel about the nerf. I haven’t had a chance to tried it yet and the only thing that drew me to Sent was his vitality and his assists. Since zero doesn’t have that much health and neither does magnus, it’s really hard to keep a team going without having one character with a decent amount of vitality

My secondary (might be main team now) is Magneto/Zero/Sentinel (or Doom). Sent works way better with Magneto than Doom does, and Doom works better with Zero than Sentinel, but Sentinel also works wonders for Zero. I am really sad on the nerf on Sent but it doesn’t matter as much, a lot of good character have low health anyways (even do Sent gets instant overhead like crazy). Sent was also weak to instant overheads, and some even leading to infinites (Strider :slight_smile: ) but he had high health to compensate, which now he hasn’t and think the nerf should’ve been on other areas of the characters.

Honestly, people are taking the Health nerf on Sentinel too harshly. Look at what he can do, he can move faster than most of the cast cause of his wavedashing, has a flight mode AND a double jump along with Super Armor on his moves along with having a command grab. Not to mention he can zone fairly well with the right assists and ALL of his assists are good. Why the hell does he get to have the most health in the game while having better mobility and mixups than some of the other glass cannons in the game(i.e: Zero or Ammy) He needed SOMETHING to bring him down a couple notches. When you have that many tools at your disposal, you can manage with lower health. The fact that he has lower health and is much more susceptible to 100%'s means there is an element of thought involved now. As he is now, its either “I got hit, ehhh, I can take the damage.” or “Oh, that killed me, well at least he has no meter and no XF now”

Now I will agree that the nerf was a bit harsh, I think dropping down to 1 Million would’ve been perfect. He can take a hit but not take everything cause you feel like it.

Buuut thats just my 2 cents

My team that I’ve been winning with: Magneto/Zero/Sentinel :). Post patch I don’t care, it’s my team and I’m sticking with it!
…Nah I lied I’m going to be playing Magneto/Zero/Doom Beam or Wesker Lower shot soon enough. Just gotta learn them. But for now Magneto/Zero/Sentinel is team Marn~

Been playing w/ zero/skrull/doom more and I can say that im having alot of fun. Zero’s rekoha can dhc into Skrulls lvl 3 death penalty no problem for some serious damage 1million +. Zeros bnb, rekkoha dhc skrull level 3 (although it requires 4meters) no xfc.

Sent still anchors my team. Nerf can’t stop the boot. HD ~> Rek all day. I can still do everything with a little extra dmg I believe. So I am not butthurt. Zero/Hulk/Sent 4eva.

zero/task/chun

task and chun help zeros game by leaps and bounds and also help with resets and relaunch crossup/mixup shenaningans. everybody on the team can build meter so meter is never an issue.
Zero on point is my meter builder and pressure starter for my rushdown and can do a decent zoning with task and is further boosted when he shadow clones
Task is the main force behind the team from being able to dhc from anything zero or chun do perfectly to building spent meter to having a nice complementary assit for zero and chun rushes task gives this team so much plus hes not glass canon
Chun has the legs assist which locks down and helps with relaunch corner combos and task unblockables, builds meter, and level 3 chun is godlike…Honestly level 1 and 2 xfactor are great especially with zeros suped up hadangeki’s gettin in is even better

The goal is PRESSURE RUSHDOWN with a little ability to zone if need be. I like balance aggression and with this team i think i have it

Hey random question, what assist do you think is best to use with Zero?

Also, Doom beam is beast with Zero, I agree. But if you have mags (assuming you’re running disruptorzzzzz), do you think Doom rocks might work pretty good too for pinning them down for Mags mixups / Zero stuff? It keeps them locked for a nice bit blocking the rocks so you could triangle jump mind fuck them while doom is doing his thing.

I was also trying with Magneto/Zero/Doom-a yesterday, and it feels a little bit tricky to get a full combo with Mags after a Doom beam hits, and it doesn’t do much damage.

Zero as an anchor? Great mobility, loops that work mid screen which corner an opponent fast, loops that yeild tons of meter, easy +600,000K corner combo’s, mix ups, amazing clutch lv.3.

Can it be done?

Zero as anchor is actually really good assuming you have still have meter and X Factor. Also if they already used their XFactor, Zero is just retarded. Lvl3 XF>Sougenmu is so fucking good not even for rushdown, for lockdown from Hadangeki. Go into Sougenmu, Charge buster with L and just start throwing H projectiles, once they start blocking, they will literally be stuck in blockstun the entire time. The only way to deal with it is to Push Block the projectiles to get rid of the chip damage. But then you throw both M and H projectiles and it gets hard as hell to do it right. As soon as Sougenmu wears off, fire the Buster and activate Sougenmu again and repeat till you run out of meter.
