The Wrestling Thread v. Sin Cara - Go Go Sin Cara Rangers!

Lol, what you saw IS what happened. There was nothing more to it. Jeff just looked fucked up and apparently Bischoff came down to call a quick finish to the match, or at least so it seems right now.

They weren’t running over time or anything like that. They went through the trouble of recapping the entire PPV after after the Sting/Hardy and then put the camera back on Sting again.

Jim Neidhardt trying to kill Jake Roberts with a chair was still funnier. Jeff’ll never top that. Seeing Roberts stumbling around the ring with the snake between his legs was priceless.

I’m just hoping TNA doesn’t try to make this go away through some storyline bullshit. They wanna be real and run shit with Angle and Jarrett, then they should be real and call out Hardy for the idiot he is.

On a serious note, I hope they don’t find the dude dead or some shit.

I’ve always been a bit of a Jeff mark, but tonight…fucking shit. I just can’t do it anymore, man. I just know TNA is gonna twist this and make it seem that this was “the most talked-about PPV in history” or something just as stupid. And to think Sting could’ve been facing Undertaker (I know, I know). Have fun being a big fish in a small pond, Sting.

I got done reading Undisputed over the weekend, and I loved it. It wasn’t as good as the first, but that does not mean his 2nd is bad in any way. I highly recommend it.

Between the misuse of talent (Lethal, Joe, Pope, Morgan, EY), the lack of effort from ex wwe guys, the obvious anti wellness (hardyz, steiner, angle), hernandez and others paying for their own hospital stays/surgeries, the low pay for the midcard, the horrible treatment of the knockouts, the crappy booking, the crappy wrestling, actually making the names RIC FLAIR and HULK HOGAN mean shit, and well the crappy editing and production values

it sucks, tna has an awesome roster full of name guys, young guys who are good, and some hot chicks

honestly they should take russo out of there and have maybe dave lagana book the shows. Hell adam pearce would be a step up

This whole thing reeks of Russo’s worked shoot nonsense. I mean Sting yelling “I agree” as he goes up the ramp…I just doubt he would react that way to that situation. Why would Bischoff come down and announce the No DQ? Why would he talk to Jeff and shake his hand? Why would Jeff argue with the ref afterwards?

You don’t just show up, change, and then walk out. If Jeff is really that high someone notices that earlier and doesn’t put him out there. If he’s also that high, he won’t know how to sell or take bumps. TNA would also be sued for negligence for letting him work in that state. Now you do need an injury to sue, but why would you risk that as TNA?

TNA’s plan is to get people talking and they think people will tune in to watch. I hope their plan fails. I also hope RAW gets something like a 1.2 rating for bringing in Snookie.

Mark my words, Nigel McGuiness will save TNA

Lol, I think RAW is guaranteed a 1.2 with Snookie in the mix, especially if there’s no Zack Ryder cameo. That just wouldn’t be right.

I see where you’re going with the whole TNA shoot thing and that could really be the case, but I’m not convinced it is. I think Tenay would’ve hyped the odd outcome for the match if it were storyline. That dude gives everything away. I was watching last week’s Impact and Tenay’s like, “We haven’t seen Mickie James in a while…” five seconds later, there she is in the ring interfering or something… But yeah, Tenay would’ve spoiled what was going on if it were storyline, I think. Also, I think if it were kayfabe, we would’ve seen a better reaction from Hardy; more animated or something.

But really, what’s stopping TNA from smoothing shit over with Jeff and presenting what happened as kayfabe when it was actually legit. Kind of like what people thought was going on when Danielson got fired. There are people to this day that will swear that that was just part of the storyline or something.

Those people were pretty dumb though. Those people probably still think the commercials were for Sting lol.

I kind of think his reaction was off. I mean if you’ve ever been high if something happens that you didn’t expect you don’t act surprised really about it, you’re just really mellow and like “Whoa dude did you see what happened?” and then laugh, usually stupidly. Instead he pretty much got up and goes to the ref and pretty much goes “Wtf?” like a wrestler frequently does when he loses a match.

But I mean the kicker is it’s Russo, and he’s done this crap a lot in the past. Trust me they want you to tune in. Don’t fall for their trap.

They can claim whatever they want after the fact.
It doesn’t matter, though, because they still gave a bullshit match with a bullshit finish and that’s exactly what the crowd was chanting and the buyers were saying after.

Hell, I think claiming “we meant to do it” just makes them look worse.

I dunno, just because you get high doesn’t mean you can’t get tense or confused.

But the fact of the matter is, it’s just fucking stupid and distasteful.

And Sting is still fuckin’ stupid.

I went as far to browse the wrestlezone forums and one of the posters pointed out some good stuff from the YouTube video posted above. If you watch the entrances, there’s a part where the ref gives an “X” sign with his hands. Then when Sting gets in the ring, after he’s done playing to the crowd, the ref walks up to him and tells him something. You can clearly see Sting mouth the words, “are you kidding me?” Shortly after, Bischoff comes out.

Fuck, I don’t know why I’m finding this so interesting, but I am.

Get Jeff Hardy out of fucking wrestling jesus.

I feel bad for Sting, that’s a whole other level of stupidity that keeps piling up on TNA.

It’s a semi-rarity in this entertainment field and you just know something major will come out of it, so it’s a very interesting thing to dissect and discuss. We are all used to botches and the like, no biggie. But something like this is a little harder to find, especially when it comes to a PPV event.

I’ve said multiple times it looks like Jeff Hardy just doesn’t give a shit; in both his attitude, look, and in-ring performance during his new TNA tenure. He’s always been big into drugs, and while he can do what he wants, when it starts affecting a company and in-ring matches you have to do something. TNA let’s to much shit slip by, but this one needs to be addressed.

Jeff’s had MANY chances to shape up, he obviously doesn’t want to change TNA, so let him go.

ok, if this IS some kind of russoriffic work, it does make a bit of sense.

  • charlie sheen is immensely popular right now, so they want to make that in wrestling
  • TNA has been trying hard to get harvey over as a “loose cannon” / “the anti-christ of pro wrestling” gimmick for months, to no avail
  • russo used scott hall’s personal addiction problems for storyline purposes in WCW
  • people are at least TALKING about TNA now. “there’s no such thing as bad publicity” - PT Barnum

I watched it for the 1st time this morning. God, that was bad. :lame: I feel sorry for the folks who were at that arena and witnessed the debacle in person.

When I loaded that video, and I saw it was approximately 10 minutes, I thought there’d be a higher…match to video ratio than that.

Man. WHAT.

You can see he’s fucked up when he comes out initially. Then you see him stumble on his way up the ring steps.

I don’t know how many of you guys know about this site but it has Rock’s new theme in full.

??? ??? ? VSplanet.net ? ??? ?? ???, ??? ??? !!!

To be fair I consider that a bullshit saying, because if this really is a Russo storyline, as in 100% his idea with Sting and Hardy going along with it with a commendable performance then FUCK TNA as I would never watch their program again. Considering the home fan base is probably the size of the people who show up at the events (In the high 300’s I bet) it’d be a devastating loss.

I’d be less pleased but might watch if they decide to work it into a storyline ala The Jarrett/Angle business (Which I thought was totally unclassy, but this is wrestling we are talking about).

Like I have said I suppose twice now, fire Jeff and get Sting into a new feud and put a public apology on the website. Don’t have to acknowledge it on the show but just do the usual “Jeff and TNA are parting ways, we wish him the best of luck, yadda yadda yadda” and you are good to go.

They could also go the WWE route and 86 hardy, and remove any mention of him ever in the history of the company, cause after yesterday, thats what I would do

lol @ the ref breaking up Jeff Hardy and Sting on the ropes, during a NO DQ match

from what I’m hearing, this could have been planned. Hardy has court next month, and this could likely be a gimmick.
