The Wrestling Thread v. Sin Cara - Go Go Sin Cara Rangers!

I don’t like how they made eddie’s frog splash into a 450.

otherwise, neat.

Holy shit! The dogface gremlin is fired on SD. That 2 cent hoe will probably be moved to raw since she draws massive heat like no other.

I am going to main hulkster and mach in wweas

hoping hulk has a hulk up resurection when meter is built up

lol @ HHH basically doing Pepsi Plunge (dude gets too much air for it to be Angels Wings)
lol @ Edge’s spear actually looking legit.
lol @ them making Kofi’s Ranhei look dangerous. I don’t remember the last time he’s won a match with it, or him not botching it.

Andre’s finisher is fucking legit. His was my favorite.

My only complaint is how they made Jake’s DDT just look like an elevated Brain Buster.

he should just do what he usually does. Show up drunk off his ass, high on crack, piss in a garbage can, then attempt to wrestle.

so wtf is this shit with me hearing that the mystery GM is Sting???

Well now that my week exile is over, I can start talking about crap again.

No its not. Mostly because Sting is back with TNA, and apparently will win the title clean next week…yay…

You haven’t read the spoilers for next week’s TNA Impact, have you?

Some say this destroyed WCW but this had to be one of the funniest moments ever in wrestling

Bishoff with his sound effects is hilarious

I always though Arquette winning the title killed WCW.

I saw its when Russo won the title, but during that time everybody was winning the belt whether they wrestled or not

WCW officially died because of the head of AOL Time Warner not wanting to give the product any more airtime, due to him disliking pro wrestling in general…and also WCW losing tens of millions of dollars in just one year.

But yeah, there were a billion and a half things wrong with WCW management, and everybody in charge was to blame. Bischoff was to blame for beating a dead horse(nWo) and keeping the undercard down while only focusing on Monday Night instead of the bigger picture like PPVs and pushing more talent for more buyrates and merchandise, Russo was to blame because of his legendary awfulness, Hogan and Nash were to blame for helping their friends and themselves while burying everyone else, and all the higher-ups behind the scenes were to blame because apparently they would change things around to the point where even Sting and ERIC BISCHOFF wouldn’t know what they were going to do 10 minutes before Nitro aired.

P.S.- Sting is now officially the dumbest wrestler in the world. I never thought that anyone would ever surpass the Hardys in that category…

roh 9th anni show sounds fucking awful from the spoilers i read.
i give delirious 5 more months, if even.

Delirious?

yeah man. he replace adam pearce as head booker a few months ago. right before final battle 2010

The booking team for ROH is
Delirious (Head Booker)
Jim Cornette (Was executive produce for the HDnet show but now I think he does production at the major live events)
Dave Lagana (Former SD! Booker when Heyman was Headbooker)
Cary Silkin (also owner)

Most people that I’ve seen on boards would say it’s the end of Goldberg’s win streak (and Finger Poke of Doom as the follow up) that made them jump from WCW to WWE. Some say that the end came as early as Starrcade 97, with the whole fast-count-that-never-was and Bret confusion.

By the time the Radicals left for WWE, I’d say that was the last nail in the coffin.

Sting’s not dumb at all. He’s a family man. He’s 51. He’s comfortable at TNA and their work schedule. He is happy with his life. Dixie is probably paying him a fortune still. He gets to be TNA Champion and still work part time. Sounds pretty smart to me.

The Hardys are still on a tier of their own. Scott Hall maybe slightly beneath them.

Damn, I was just about to ask if anyone caught it. I saw that card and there wasn’t anything that really stuck out. Sad to see RoH like this.

Ahh… The death of WCW. I always thought the consensus was that it was when Schiavone spoiler the RAW main event when Foley won the WWE title. For me, it was around the NWO Wolfpac formation. By then, everything they were doing was getting really played out. I know I stopped watching WWE a couple of weeks after they bought WCW out. Both companies were such crap that I pretty much stopped watching wrestling all together.

WCW Saturday Night was like the first wrestling I ever saw. It was in the early 90’s and WCW was doing a lot of interpromotion stuff with New Japan and a bunch of other promotions. Really cool stuff, especially for it’s time. Then I realized that WWF Superstars came on in the morning, but I didn’t care about much because there was too much talking even then, and not enough wrestling.

i stopped watching WCW when it got to the annoying ass 25 minutes NWO intro’s, every fucking match.

As for their PPV’s, yeah they sucked.

It’s impossible to point out 1 specific thing and say it killed WCW (other than the obvious loss of their TV slots) but I have always considered the beginning of the end to be how they dealt with Hogan vs Sting.

But that discounts millions of dollars in wasteful spending, illogical angles, the politics of dealing with guys like Hogan and Nash, the TV situation, and every other idiotic thing they did.

Fucking that up was a team effort.

I too am sad to see the situation ROH has found itself in. I really like Delirious as a performer but he has barely booked anything I find interesting during his run. No matter what they say, I can’t see them losing their TV deal as a good thing.

Honky Tonk Man rips Hogan a new one.
