Speaking of EVOLVE. I watched 131 last night. It was rough to get through. Their presentation has gotten leaps and bounds better since 2014 when I stopped following them. But, the trade off was clearly the talent. I know they had Keith Lee, Oney Lorcan, Ricochet, Riddle and several other amazing talents over the years but yeah. A lot of them were very few and far in between. Their current crop isâŚyeah. Lots to be desired.
When AR Fox gets the loudest pop outside of the main event you know something is wrong. Everyone came off as exceedingly generic and CAW. There are tons of segments and matches that were simply overbooked. The womenâs match is the best example I can think of.
I never knew about Catch Point since it was after I stopped following EVOLVE and the indies in general but itâs cool that they made it such a huge deal. It was also a really good match. So that helped.
I donât get Gabeâs hard-on for Austin Theory.
I was really disappointed in the match with Colby Corino. I really wanted to see him wrestle. He looks exactly like his dad. Like, to a scary degree. From the five-o-clock shadow, to the fried bleached hair and the shitty tattoos. Itâs fucking astonishing.
Main event was fine but predictable.
Like despite saying it was a rough show to get through it wasnât bad by any means. Just a chore to sit through at times.
I actually subscribed to WWNLive a few months ago but the desktop and mobile sites for it are fucking terrible. The VOD wasnât great either. No descriptions or showing what the cards were. When I tried to use its Apple TV app it didnât recognize my Password. I changed it 3 different times and it still didnât work. I messaged Gabe on twitter and emailed wwn about the issue and got no response. Apparently the App works on all other streaming peripherals (roku, amazon fire, chrome cast ) but Apple TV and they havenât updated it. So I cancelled my subscription after a few days.

Overall I thought it was a great showâŚBraun vs. Lashley was my overall favorite match on the card.
Extreme Rules was pretty good overall. Lacey took a good beating from Becky.
