RIP Big Van Vader. Really should have been WWF champ in 96-97. He got to be WCW champ and huge in Japan at least.

RIP to the GOAT hoss. He was my favorite super heavyweight wrestler.
Vader was one of those guys who looked like a monster in the ring, but actually had a reputation as one of the nicer people backstage - a real softie in fact. Most of us probably already know the story of how he was in tears when he thought he had permanently paralyzed a jobber named Joe Thurman, who thankfully recovered. Itās also part of the reason Jim Cornette hates Shawn since he was a dick to Vader backstage.
RIP GOAT hoss. You may not have gotten your wish to die in the ring, but youāre still in a better promotion than weāll ever have on this mortal earth.
I met Vader at Wrestlejam 5 a bit over a year ago. Like people have said. Nicest guy ever. I was just happy to finally be able to say thank you in person for all Vader did. And yes he could still go in the match he had then too.
Thank you again Mr. Vader for all you have done.

One other sad thing is that, while fans have been pushing for him to get into the HOF before he died, his passing is likely gonna speed that process up now. Heck, wouldnāt be surprised to see him posthumously inducted next year.

When he was on top of WCW, it seemed as though he could beat anyone (kayfabe). As a kid, I was surprised once he joined the WWE that people were beating him. I couldnāt suspend my disbelief that Shawn could beat him.
Regarding Cass, I read about that bathroom incident on the bus where he got locked inā¦doesnāt seem to be a good reason to fire him but it seems thereās multiple incidents leading up to his departure.
Sucks for him if it was a bad reason but from a fan perspectiveā¦he didnāt offer much. I never liked him and Enzo too much after the first few weeks and his only gimmick was that he was tall.
Carmella on the otherhand was always the best of the three.

As a kid I loved Vader
He was a big and mean crazy guy who beat the crap out of everyone
He was the first heel I cheered even when he crushed cactus and sting I marked for him
Such a shame he died this year without the induction
Well he gets in hopefully at 35 and maybe they get Ben Savage?
