While she was working with NXT, remember the key word with not for, NXT she was still allowed to work Indy dates. She told Indy bookers that she was signed to NXT so she deserved more money since she was giving that Indy more exposure. Spoiler: She wasnât signed. She was on a paid by appearance handshake agreement.
She also pulled a Gerald Brisco by selling NXT merch at Indy shows, at a mark up, without WWEâs permission.
Why the fuck would aew be hiring her then? Sounds like a shit show. Not that hot either.

There have been a lot of creative members that have came from wrestling. Jimmy Jacobs, Archibald Peck (RD Evans), uh, I canât remember his name but Great Khaliâs manager, Road Dog was head booker for Smackdown. There are a few others as well I know Iâm forgetting. Most of the âfrom wrestlingâ behind the scene talent are producers.
WWE generally wants people who can write âTV shows involving wrestlingâ rather than âA TV show about wrestlingâ. They usually hire former soap opera directors/writers and reality TV show directors. People in those general wheel houses.
While I get where theyâre coming from itâs also exceedingly stupid.
Also NXT and WWE Creative Teams are like night and day due to most the trainers and match producers from the Performance center are actually apart of the creative process in NXT since they know the strengths, weaknesses and appeals of the talent more than anyone since they deal with them every day. While some of WWE creative usually has very little interaction with the talent unless theyâre specifically told to.
Lemme explain: There are also 2 creative teams. Home base creative and road show creative. Home base creative all work out of Titan Towers in Connecticut. Road Team travels with the roster and generally books house shows, over seas tours and help edit what theyâre allowed to edit from home base creative then relay to the talent.
Up until probablyâŚmid ruthless aggression era creative was only a handful of people. In the 80âs the creative was literally just Vince and Pat Patterson. During Attitude Era it was Vince, Russo and Ferrara. Ruthless aggression era it was iirc Court Bauer, Heyman, Bryan Alvarez and a few others.
Now the creative team is like 20+ for each brand. Which sucks because it use to be a handful of people with a single vision. Now itâs dozens of people all with their own vision, while isnât bad necessarily itâs proven to be a complete cluster fuck.
