Marty Scrull is great, which is why this makes no sense.

just an excuse to strengthen njpw and roh and ship his ass off to japan for some tours. everyone gets to be in a stable

From what I’ve been reading, Bullett Club is sort of resembling the NWO when they started to let everyone and their mother in thereby losing a lot of the exclusivity that they once had. I could be wrong. But it seems that way.

Man I need to keep up with wrestling more. I remember like 4 years ago I’d buy DVDs of almost every major Indy promotion. Now I can barely find the the urge to keep up with NXT.

I just don’t have the drive anymore. Or the energy. Im old, man. :frowning:

Tell me about it. I find myself watching the highlights of Raw/SD/NXT/PPVs on YouTube. I can’t watch 3 hours of Raw every week. Raw really needs to be 2 hours as it’s far too long at 3. :expressionless:

I think the Flippy shit arguments are stupid and I just like both Fists and Flips.

Every time Cornette,Austin, Rogers, Vader, etc. put out statements like this it just causes a massive shitstorm in discussions.

My problem with flippy matches is that it’s almost always just a sequence of spots. No logic or reason goes into what happens in the match. They just do shit that looks cool.

Meh you see that in any type of match though. Especially this current generation… Doesn’t matter if you flip or not.

Honestly atm this is probably lowest number of flipping cruisers than there has ever been in America. Def nowhere close to the numbers of the early 2000s

So apparently Ember Moon’s injury is a work, but it’s meant to cover up another injury.

The thing is, NJPW is built around stables so any foreign wrestling heels will just get put into Bullet Club.

Hope this works out…Angelo Dawkins has been in developmental forever.

She probably already licked and sucked a bunch…

Why do I wanna scream Brooklyn lookin at this?

The difference with Marty Scurll joining the BC compared to someone like Cody, is two fold. First, he’s already a greatly established talent who instead of having BC’s branding prop him up, he actually brings some credibility into the stable. And secondly, he’s actually close with The Elite (as seen in Being the Elite) and constantly palling around with them anyway so it’s actually a natural evolution. Oh and thirdly, ever since Kenny went up to the Heavyweights the BC was lacking a Singles Junior presence, which is especially notable when every other NJPW has a top tier Junior (LIJ has current champ Hiromu AND Bushi, CHAOS has Will Ospreay, Suzuki-Gun has ZSJ though they seem to prefer using him in the heavies so I guess Taka, and Taguchi Japan has…well, Taguchi and also Ricochet). Marty immediately shores up that part of their stable that was lacking, in a quite timely fashion with BOSJ next week.

Cody Rhodes was a terrible choice for the BC (just sticks out like a rich kid buying his way into the cool kids’ group). Hangman Page was an awful choice for the BC and still is. Chase Owens…well, I guess Yujiro was tired of being the designated pin taker in the tags. The less said about Bone Soldier the better. Marty Scurll was the best choice they’ve had in a while.

Or you can just kill the whole Bullet Club thing as it has been dead since AJ and Gallanderson left.

Stables in NJPW are nothing like in the Western World. Here, Stables have a clear end game and aren’t supposed to last past a year or two and usually burn out when forced to. In NJPW Stables last for years upon years and usually don’t even die, just transform or move into a different stable. CHAOS is going on 8 years and that was initially just the entirety of Great Bash Heel minus Makabe and Honma (who STILL carry the GBH name to this day). Suzuki-Gun is going on 6 years, and that was started as Kojima-Gun (though that was only for a few months). Bullet Club is only third with 4 years. LIJ a little under 2 years, and Taguchi Japan is just this year.

At first I thought like you too, BC is overplayed, why is it still around when LIJ is the hot heel faction? But after learning and doing my due diligence, I just realized it’s just what NJPW has always liked to do. And it works, it gives all the 6 man tags they love to do some semblance of cohesiveness.

It’s just something you take when dealing with NJPW. There is absolutely nothing to be done about it. Plus BC is still one of their hottest sellers. Them and LIJ are neck and neck when it comes to merch, but BC usually has the advantage since they have a stronger overseas presence.

Am I being a naive smart mark bitch boy for wanting WWE to push a stable or two for longer than a year? Something with stability (gdi) like the four or five bad bands of yore (Horsemen/Freebirds/NWO before it got too big/etc/etc/etc)? Seems every stable with potential ends due to bad/impatient booking or politics.

New Day has been going for over two years now.

why? it makes money and fans love it. literally the min njpw signed a deal with hot topic i saw mad posts on my feed about it. you may not like it…but bullet club is still strong.

Adam Cole is gone, and njpw decides who is in bullet club, despite what wcpw says that scrub is not bc

Honestly though njpw has been a faction thing from the start

So it is more like american top team and alpha male

But bullet club already cut out captain new japan. Really the tongans are the backbone of bullet club. The bucks are lackeys think of them as the syxx

While tama and fale are nash/hall. While kenny is in that hollywood hogan spot.

The bullet club should just revert to the tongans since fale speaks japanese. And those 3 are actually over whereas the young bucks are slight

Bullet club exists for the marketing

They book the g.o.d., fale, cody, and kenny strong as hell. And the bucks are there.

The thing western fans don’t get is that fale and tama are actually more over than they give them credit for. Cody isn’t shit because he isn’t there touring constantly and the fans have not caught on to his signatures or his character yet because they have only seen him 3 times.

It took juice 2 years to reach this status. Elgin got over by being a hoss and his run in the g-1

Cody needs a real run in njpw. But njpw does not like freelancers. Give cody the g-1, and tanahashi matches.

Cody hasn’t established himself in njpw. And fans won’t accept outsiders readily. Ricochet and Ospray are not really on the level of kushida and especially not kamaitachi

But hey they are very talented. To be a gaijin and get over you need to be a part of the roster and the crowd needs to buy into you and your character.

What gets over in the uk and us won’t be over in new japan. What ibushi does in ddt does not get him over in new japan.

At this rate ibushi will win the ic belt as tiger mask w
