This mania was super meh all around. The best match was Kurt/Rousey vs. Steph/HHH
That should tell you something when it comes to the quality of the matches on the card.
Other positives is that Bray and Mattās alliance shall be Broken Brilliance (Woken Brilliance?)
Nakamura heel turn I saw coming as soon as he grabbed the title from the ref. I knew he was either going to smash him in the face with the title or low blow him. Has Nakamura ever been a heel? Itāll be interesting to see.
Bork Laser retaining is a surprise. Roman was the only viable threat to Lesnar and Lesnar pinned him clean. There is no one left for lesnar. So it was kind of an odd choice. Maybe after the superstar shake up there will be new blood for lesnar.
Asuka losing to Charlotte is still and forever will be bullshit. Iām legit mad they made her drop the streak to Charlotte. What a crock of shit.
Rest of the card was whatever. I donāt really care to put and insight or effort into talking about them.
Yeah I was gonna say I enjoyed the Ronda match the most.
Yeahā¦I donāt feel Charlotte deserved the rub.
ā¦when you find out a ten year old is more over than you.
Just because Asuka lost (and I absolutely agree she should NOT have lost), it doesnāt make the match any less good. The only umbrage I have with the match itself was that it shouldāve went a few more minutes, the finish was slightly too abrupt. Shouldāve had Asuka break the first Figure 8 attempt because of the bad arm before Charlotte went to the Tripod figuration. And they certainly shouldnāt have had Asuka put her over personally, that was too much pandering. But the actual match was the best of the night, and Iām perfectly fine with being the minority in believing that.
Lesnar is still one of the worst wrestlers on the card and his retention is a dumb idea and his match with Reigns was easily the worst one on the entire card. Iām just so apathetic about it now.
At least one person agrees with you. I donāt think the streak should have ended here (or at all this year), but the match was good. Rousey/Angle vs. McMahon/HHHeisenberg was definitely the surprise of the night, though.
EDIT: Nicholas is the king.
Brock winning was the typical swerve WWE always does when the result of a match becomes āobviousā for the smarks.
Iām fine with Asuka losing to Charlotte even though I canāt stand her. Itās better than her losing it to Carmella in a cash in or Naomi in random fashion or some MMA cast off.
At least the streak is out of the way and they can do some actual character development with her.
āBork win. Bork put down Big Dog. Bork collect paycheck.ā
A little note that I heard while listening to What Happened Whenās latest episode,
Tony Schiavone said the The Great Muta had a winning streak in WCW when he first was introduced.
Who did eventually end Mutaās streak? Ric Flair at Starrcade 1989.
Who has Asuka cited as an influence for her? The Great Muta.
Who beat Asukaās streak? Ric Flairās daughter.
Fuck I hated Justin in turbo.
Motweekend:
Gargano/Ciampa

Ronda looked great
So shinsuke turns and roman fails
Can roman just turn already

I like that charlotte won
I like all the finishes tonight
Too bad we have no more midcard thanks to ppvās being cobrand
The Nicolas posts are the most entertained Iāve been by main WWE in a good while https://mobile.twitter.com/LanceStorm/status/983186677219733506
They let Lesnar and Reigns close the show again? Clearly WWE does not learnā¦
Iām still in disbelief that they did not let Styles vs. Shinsuke close the show!!
But went with Lesnar vs Reignsā¦
Never thought, Iād see a crowd shit on a Wrestlemania main event closing match as hard as they did last night!!
Do you not remember HHH vs Roman closing a few years ago? They cut the crowd mics off because the boos and boring chants were so loud
