Enzo was in midst of a huge push where the entire division was being built around him. The investigation started on Oct 23. Most likely he kept quiet in order to stay in the lights. If wwe got to know about it, very likely they would have abandoned those plans and cool off on him as he deals with the investigation and wait to see it play out. However now he even pissed them off more as he was integral to 205 and they got stuck in a messy situation and predictably chose to wash their hands off it.
That’s why if he is innocent, that was a dumb move to do.
