aj vs balor wasnt that good. the crowd is what made the match good. they ate that shit up and all the smarks freaked out when they 2sweeted each other.
it was an okay run-of-the-mill 15 minute match.

Could AJ vs Balor been better? Yes if could. But at the same time, you have to consider the circumstances. Saying they had little time to prepare is an understatement, considering that AJ just got off his flight from South America, on top of the whole thing being put together at the last minute.
Now regarding Survivor Series, since Kurt is GM and Shane is commish, they need to find a way for Kurt to put Shane through some glass again. I mean, we know that Shane’s gonna somehow die for all our sins again, so might as well pay homage.

Here’s a thought : Not every match has to be a 5 star match.
With no build up, it was exactly what it needed to be.
Whenever Kane comes back from a hiatus or sent to another brand he always gets absurd pushes that quickly fade off. From moving to ECW and becoming champion, to moving back to Smackdown and winning MITB before beginning a lengthy WHC run, to returning with a mask and defeating Randy Orton at WrestleMania, and now he’s back again squashing Balor.
From hearsay apparently Kane isn’t going to be staying around for long this time around, since he’s still working on his election. So the reason they’re pushing him even harder than they normaly do when he returns is because they want to build up his credibility as fast as possible so he can put over Braun.
I’m guessing their mindset is that while Braun’s still pretty hot the Lesnar match (and to a lesser extent Roman having him beat on occasions) have hurt him a lot. So they feel giving him an official face turn and a big win over the returning, dominant Kane will propel him back to the top of the card as a super hot babyface.
Honestly if that’s the case it’s actually a totally fine idea booking wise, what will make or break it is the build and execution which we still have to wait and see.
Honestly though them having to do this could have been avoided if they didn’t book themselves into a corner with the Brock match and if said match wasn’t a massive dissapointment that made neither guy look good.
