The biggest winner of last night? NJPW, and they didnāt even have a show!
For real, been trying to get into wrestling more and WWE is just a mess right now. Itās so weird how they keep doing these finishes that make both guys look so weak. Was KO/AJ a botch? I canāt even tell. That Cersaro/Sheamus v Hardy Boyz match a couple weeks ago where Matt lands his finisher and he gets immediately pinned. What is storytelling?
Can someone explain the workload in WWE versus NJPW or other promotions? I assume they both do around the same number of dark shows, but WWE guys gotta also do SDL and Raw week in week out in addition to ppvās whereas new japan guys just do one ppv a month right? It feels like WWE matches consist of only 1-3 big spots with actual wrestling moves being done, the rest being strikes and kayfabe injury abuse. NJPW def does some of the same stuff, but you can walk away from a match having seen 5-6 really cool moves that make you pop. Idk, just seems like WWE wrestlers are more worn down by their schedule so theyāre never really at 100%
Does NJPW have their site translated into English yet? Thatās the only thing holding me back from subbing, canāt navigate through them moon runes. Ibushi and Naito had me jumping out my seat.

I really donāt believe so I feel SDL lost quite a bit I mean you lost your top heels as compared to Raw who gave up the āmidā card heels. Losing Bray looks to have set SDL back hard because you had continuation with Orton a potential boost to Luke and Rowan who are now sitting on the wayside. Then you had the teased Miz/Nakamura feud that could have been pretty good with The Miz carrying it promo wise instead of having start with Ziggler who has been doing jack ever since.
Where SDL has also fallen is the womenās division they have gotten really lazy as of late just booking them in tag matches and just about destroying all that work at giving them personality the only one who was suffering was Carmella. Now it
NJPWās workload is much less (though there are plenty of guys who work NJPW along with other promotions so mileage may vary on who you are) than WWEās. NJPW has less shows (outside of G1 time, aka now) and a majority of matches worked are tags which put less strain on the body. Not counting the Four Singles Tourneys in the year (of which talent may only work 1-2 of), even the top guys only work aroundā¦10 Singles matches a year.
NJPW World is in English, though the English is a bit shaky but you can definitely navigate it.
Lastly AJ wasnāt trying to do the Burning Hammer, that spinout bomb move is part of his natural repertoire.

Davey can put on a damn good match when he wants to.
Heās quit promotions to pursuit his career so many times and has announced his retirement so many times itās not even shocking or funny anymore. He comes back 3-6 months later and will stay around for about a year or so and then announce heās retiring or leaving wrestling to pursuit his career again.
Oh right. Meh, either way, let him.

heās also just a shit person in general. I know a few people who went to wrestling school with him and they said heād always been a drama queen and takes himself way too seriously. like low ki levels.
the best thing about Davey Richards was the feud with the Briscoe brothers and promos they cut about MMA and mouthpieces.
thats arguably the best promo the briscoes have ever done and that feud was really good too.
