Vince McMahon knows what he’s doing. We’re talking about the same man who wanted a storyline where he was the father of Stephanie’s baby. He was then confused as fuck when she said no and left.
So I work third shift doing IT work. Well I work on Monday’s, Thursdays and Sundays. Luckily my job is slow and boring enough where I can watch Raw, NXT and PPVs throughout the shift. Well the folks I work with don’t seem to understand my love for pro wrestling. I don’t see anything wrong with following wrestling like I follow football or mma. Almost every job I have worked at, I am looked at like I am borderline retarded or some sort of low class person.
I just wondered, has anyone else been made fun of for being an adult and loving pro wrestling. I mean I don’t care about people making fun of me watching it, but I just wonder why it seems to be looked down as a “low class”
they get hate in roh cause they were shitty guys, but for the most part roh doesnt go crazy hating on wwe guys. jeff was shitty, matts been with them on and off for a while, jamie noble was awesome, blanking on a few people. but for the most part ex-wwe guys have had positive reviews in roh.
I think it has to do with wrestling being an easy target. For example, if you like MMA, the worst people can say is that it’s stupid or thuggish or whatever they call it. Wrestling, on the other hand, is for idiots because they don’t know it’s fake.
My parents, when I was about 14, sat me down and tried to force me to stop wrestling. I mean, they really gave it to me, telling me how no one would ever respect me if I said liked this and how it made me a ‘low class’ person (whatever that means), and even wanted me to stop using the computer because I used it to check wrestling websites.
But you know, middle of the Attitude Era, so all that did was made me watch wrestling more so I could get my dose of escapist anti-establishment entertainment.
My parents still hate wrestling, and when my younger brother and I talk about it, they still give me the same speech and I’m nearly 30.
It’s weird. They really, really, really hate it. Never understood it.
I think he’s a good worker. Especially when he wasn’t bogged down to “no sell and stiff the shit and do some lucha” like he was back in 06.
His series with Bryan was fantastic. His feud this year with Yuji Nagata was excellent. He can work a believable style against heavyweight guys.
He is the innovator of gts, he should use it. Or he can just do a jumping tiger knee or knee lift as a finish.
Really interested in the finish he used tomorrow on nxt
He’s a b-list name, but an a+ talent
I feel like guys working njpw are the top guys in wrestling not in wwe. New japan guys still want to work wwe. But ex-wwe guys are loving being in new japan.
I personally have been liking new japan and aaa more than wwe.
Outside of Brock, wwe underutilizes so much of their talent
