G1 Tournament was the coolest thing I’ve seen from Wrestling in a long, long time. Props to all of the participants for putting on such an amazing performance. When your worst matches come out at 3 and 1/2 Stars from multiple sources (So like a WWE main event) with regular scores of 4 and 1/2 you know you did something special.

I must say, TNA was impressive all the way through tonight. Never thought I’d be saying that with a straight face again, but it’s true. Even the Knockouts were putting in work…yes, the Knockouts had a decent-to-good 4 way match. TNA was entertaining tonight…well, up to the part where the Carter crowd got escorted out of the building in handcuffs. That was just sad and funny. Not sure which it was more of, but most certainly sad and funny. Fucking spud trying to get up in somebody’s face.

Sonnen, Scott Steiner, and drunk JBL is my commentary dream team of hilarity.
The last few years of orton have retroactively made me dismiss his career…he quite honestly is a very very very boring worker now in every aspect.
I -can- see that as most top stars go through the motions, but I think Orton tries a bit harder than say Cena or Sheamus. His RKO’s out of nowhere (Sorta) and his rope drag/move I forgot off the ropes are super impressive, and when he is in the mood he still gets a great vibe. Like when he destroyed Reigns and was yelling at him that “You cost me the title” along with his general drive for the gold is something that seems missing from the top stars.
Orton during this years run has got the gold, lost it, and now craves it more than anything. Whereas Cena/Lesner/everyone else don’t seem to give a shit for the top titles in their own promotion. It is those little things that make me put Orton in his own category.
I know he isn’t the most well loved Wrestler here, hell I don’t necessarily like him that much, but I’ll defend his actions as I think he does a better job than the other people in his status.

You guys realize a large part of why Sonnen seems so much better at mic work than everyone else is because he can say whatever he wants, right?
If he was to be put on RAW’s commentary team he wouldn’t be telling us about how all Portuguese-speaking people are thieves, he’d be as neutered as JBL.

The bullshit wwe is doing with their releaed talent and burying their midcarders even more is frustrating.
So the Vaudvillains basically use the More Bang for your Buck as their finisher. Gotch just doesn’t do the 450.

Speaking of Willie Mack as soon he is done with his Indy obligations (September I believe) he’s relocating to Florida to report at the performance center.
Also once the wwe gets back from their current overseas tour they are doing another major tryout. Over 30 indy stars from all over the country have been invitied. No names yet since the try out is still about 2 months away.
Where Orton differs from Cena and other top guys is that he’s willing to sacrifice his character to get others over. He spent the better part of 2014 putting over DBD and now doing the same w/ Reigns. No matter how good a performer you are, losing that much hurts your character. That was the entire reason for the beatdown on Reigns and Cole putting over that “the Viper is back”.
Either way, I still think he’s capable of his Legend Killer/Legacy/early Viper performances. He still delivers in PPVs matches as well.
I said it before, the entire “Face of the WWE” gimmick hurt him more than anything. In all his past variations - even as a face - he was always a predator that could snap at any moment. Being Triple H’s pet doesn’t leave room for that persona.
