I don’t think Kenta will be using the gts (even though he invented it). I think they are giving Punk the treatment they gave with Benoit or maybe because 70% of American-WWE fans are stupid and have never watched actual wrestling, much more wrestling in japan, and would probably think he ripped off CM punk.
My fear of Kenta is that the WWE will give the same bs they’ve given ever non-american wrestler. They’ll turn him into the some stereo type jap guy and i assume another “america the good, just, silent yet strongest bestest country in da worldz is being assaulted by [country]” storyline (just like the Mark Henry/Rusef thing now" will be done again in which Kenta will job.
Tajiri was probably the only Asian wrestler Vince didn’t ruin. Even his alliance with Regal was awesome.
The yt comments from wwe punk fans commenting on him using the gts in matches from 2005 saying he stole gts, dbry’s knee, and yeah.

The pairing with Funaki is cool for me. His style is more pop friendly as a face.

The end of ecw screwed up yoshi tatsu, because he wasn’t used at all despite getting over on ecw.
Taka was fucked over in WWE, he was the next big star in Japan and Vince did basically nothing with him.
Hey, Taka got a WWF Title match against HHH. And it was amazing.
I think they are making him cut promos on NXT because it is NXT but i do think that when the time comes that he will go into the main roster, he’s not going to be out of midcards. His promo cutting isn’t as great due to the language barrier imo.
Tajiri and Taka were sort of fucked in the WWE, Tajiri became a clown like of a character and taka was just a card filler. Jimmy wang yang was a very entertaining gimmick but it was another clown type… good thing he was actually talented but the WWE didn’t care and Jimmy didn’t go so far. The only asian i know that rose to a good status was Batista, but he is only half asian and barely looks asian. . I seriously doubt that the wwe will let a full blood asian rise to the top…
He was still doing tours with michinoku pro and all japan while with wwe. Heck Bradshaw worked all japan too. He went back full time to japan in 2001, but he never stopped doing tours in japan. He even defended his belt there.
I always wished wcw would steal TAKA. Because TAKA in the cruiserweight division would have been dope, Essa Rios was also dope.
His wWf run lead to a cool run in all japan and his current run in new japan.
He’s a big reason that new japan gets wwe talent.

The lhw division was awesome only if the wwe let them work. Esse, taka, brian christopher, scotty taylor, christian, puma, mascara sagrada, heavy metal, and if he stayed sasuke would have been awesome.

sorta. i think for the most part pac has shown a good amount of his arsenal. but sami is saving aloooottt of his flips. its interesting to watch him in nxt. because if you never watched him in the indies, you’d be surprised just how many of the flips he can do. He can basically do everything pac can except the twisting stuff, pac is far more faster and has a few more crazier flips. but i can see people arguing otherwise.

I don’t really remember Generico doing a lot of flippy shit in the indies outside of what he’s currently doing . The only real difference I see is he doesn’t do the through the ropes tornado DDT as often (he’s only done it twice since being in NXT), he doesn’t do the senton and he doesn’t do the brain bustaaaahhh
Nevilles move set more or less stayed the same but with less shoot kicks.
Sami was never a flippy twisty guy. He has a lot of psychology and selling.
Him hitting tornado ddt’s from out of nowhere was his big thing and the brainbustaaaaah!
He uses most of his arsenal in nxt minus the brainbustaaah! The diving tornado is his ppv move, and he just does a lot of the lucha reversal things.
Helluva Kick, Koji Clutch, top rope tornado ddt are his finishes and they work.
Really been watching sami since 05, he really hasn’t diverted at all from his main moves. His facials being Regal level is the best part about him now.
I really think when he gets brought in it will be 1-2-3 Kid style with an upset over somebody.

They used Sami as a mocap actor for the wwe games before they signed him. He did mocap for a lot of the smaller guys and hhh saw him and talked to him. Shortly after he was signed.

i was scrolling through some chikara stuff which led to generico and i was finding a bunch of stuff with flips he had done that werent the ones you guys mentioned. hence my comparison. ill try to find them when i get back from this tournament this weekend.

That interview with the NXT guys made me really happy.
I’m really, really pleased for their to be a group of wrestlers who love wrestling, love being wrestlers, and want nothing more than to be wrestlers.

I will never realt be into chikara. Way too much fake. Too Much choreography. And yeah i hate quack. I know great guys came from there (cesaro, harper, drew gulak) but i have no love for chikara beyond king of trios.
