He’s against the same old as long as it’s him getting that spot. What he said on his DVD about Miz, who for all intents and purposes was something new and was quite over before the Rock came in, and the beef he had with R-Truth when he got his shot, shows that in the end, he’s about #1. He’s like that big-name Smash player who demands that he get preferential treatment when TOs invite him to their tournaments, and then when they don’t crack, he says it wasn’t a real major.

In all seriousness, though, there’s probably more to it than just a booking decision. If that’s all there was to it, it kind of makes him look like a bit of a mark.

Hey, speaking of Japanese wrestlers, I finally saw Okada v Tanahashi from WrestleKingdom7 this morning on my snow day.

Okada has the weirdest movelist I’ve ever seen. Dude is the same size as the Miz yet his finisher is a fucking clothesline? And not even a running one? Then there’s that Reverse Neckbreaker crap which is the Celtic Cross on the knee. The move looks awkward as hell and would be better if he just did a proper Celtic Cross. Yeah, no one else is doing it, but like the time where Miz shuffled between finishers in ECW looking for something to replace the Reality Check (sup Inverted Stunner where you couldn’t tell who got the worst of it), maybe there’s a reason why no one else is doing it.
