His contract is up next Monday. They have offered a 6 month extension since he’s been “out of action” similar to what Rey did a few years back. But no decision has been reached yet.

I doubt the special has anything to do with it though. They’re probably just trying to make things look normal on the outside.

If Punk comes back (which as this point I don’t honestly care) I could see him coming back at the rumble or WM. No other event is big enough for his return.
