Most of those it makes sense for since ROH, PWG, CHIKARA, and WWN Live (through having a bunch) they probably have the means to pretty easily, and I think CZW has at one point tried thinking on something similar. But…I’m just gonna leave the explanation as a short “one of these things is not like the others” with regards to IWA-MS.

Yeah, it did have some good stuff, but that kinda…stopped mostly when 2008 came around. The 2004 and 2006 Ted Petty Invitationals are still really good tournaments though, I’ll admit.
I actually agree that Batista will go against HHH, not join The Shield but work with them when he comes back to go against HHH. He will be brought back as a face.

Fans probably turned on Batista b/c he showed up out of nowhere to win the Rumble (and possibly winning the title at WM), instead of someone like Daniel Bryan or CM Punk. If they just kept him in a whatever feud, I think he’d still be a face. So I think he could come back as a face to assist The Shield. Just keep him out of the main event picture.
Regardless, it seems like he took the forced heel turn pretty well. We got some comedy gold out of it.

I’m sure the obvious suggestion for things that would happen would be for one of Cena or Orton to win the title for “safety’s sake”, or for them to take a shot and give it to Kane on account of him “being D-Bry’s opponent”.
Though, I’m curious…does this mean that there’s not going to be a MITB Ladder match at all this year? Yeah, I understand this current one is being changed to be for the title, but would this mean they wouldn’t have a ladder match for the briefcase later? I’d have to assume they had a MITB winner in mind and had a somewhat long-term plan for them and/or when they’d cash it in.

Maybe they do two ladder matches?
Plan A was Bryan vs. Kane in a stretcher match and the MItb be for a contract as per usual
Plan B was if Bryan couldn’t wrestler than there would be two money in the bank matches. One for the title, the other for a title shot.
With the “new” of Bryan not being able to compete they are goin with plan b.
These plans have been set since after extreme rules when they realized he was going to need time off.
