Exactly how i feel is all i can say

Some practical changes would be nice:

  1. If you have only two characters left, than any of the assist buttons should allow your other character to tag in or assist
  2. When you are in Arcade mode and you get challenged for an online match, why don’t you have the option to continue in Arcade mode if somebody rage quits on you? I’ve had this happen to me twice. I’m at the final stage, get challenged and the guy quits near the end of the match cause I’m destryoing him. Next thing I know I’m at the Xbox Live menu!:annoy:

This so many times over.

Cyclops MvC3 Concept

Colors/Alts: Astonishing (blue), Ultimate (black), First Class (yellow/blue), MvC2 (red)

Intros:
“We fight for his dream.” - Teamed with X-Men members.
“Jean… You can control her!” - Against Phoenix.
“Again, Logan…?” - Against Wolverine.
“Magneto, this stops now.” - Against Magneto.
“We still have a place for you.” - Against Chun-Li (ref. Chun’s XvSF ending).

Command Normals:

Low Optics: :d:+:h: (OTG) (High) close (Low) far

  • Cyclops shoots a low angled beam that hits mid up close and low from a longer range. Similar to Iron Man’s crouching missile. OTGs if spaced properly.

Optic Air Attack: :d::h: (Air Only) (OTG)

  • Low angled beam attack during a jump. Best used at the top of the jump or during super jump (due to considerable start-up). OTGs if timed right.

High Angle Dropkick: :b:+:h:

  • Special melee that can be used as anti-air. Soft-launches on standing opponents. Special cancelable but not hyper cancelable.

Special Moves:

Optic Blast: :qcf:+:atk: (Air-OK)

  • Beam projectile hits three times and eats single-hit projectiles. All ground beams can be ground dash and jump canceled.
    :l:: High projectile. Certain characters and dashes can duck this.
    :m:: Low projectile. Beam shoots from a lower level but can still be blocked high.
    :h:: Anti-air projectile. High angled beam. Leaves opponent in a juggle state.
    air :l:: Air-to-air projectile.
    air :m:: Low angled projectile.
    air :h:: Beam shoots directly below.

Gene Splice: :dp:+:atk: mash :atk:

  • Anti-air uppercut. Hits can be added to juggle until a final optic shot.

Cyclone Kick: :qcb:+:atk:…

  • A hopping hurricane kick that hits once and staggers well. Offers two follow-ups.
    :qcb:+:l:: Cyclone Sweep, hits low.
    :qcb:+:m:: Summer-sault Kick, overheads.
    :qcb:+:h:: Retreating Blast, Cyclops jumps backward and shoots downward creating space.

X-Tackle: Charge :d:, :u:+:atk: (Throw)

  • Dashing grab that slams opponent. Strength of :atk: decides range of dash.

Hyper Moves:

Behold, Optic Blast!: :qcf:+:atk::atk: (Air-OK)

  • Beam hyper. Same aim-able functions as Ryu’s beam. Can be ‘focused’.
    hold :h: during hyper flash: Focused beam doesn’t cover as much space, but does more damage. Focused beam can be aimed faster than normal beam.

I like your moveset with one exception:

One thing that made me very happy about this game, something I didn’t like in Tatsunoko, is that only one character has both a :qcf: move and a Charge :b: :f: move. X-Tackle could be Charge :d: :u: methinks.

Then again, this is just for shits and giggles, so meh.

Ah, I see. You don’t want any overlap so chance of mistakes are decreased.

Actually both Hulk and Felicia have QCF and charge moves. But I do agree it’s an annoying overlap.

Yes. My execution is terrible so I relish any moves that don’t potentially overlap. :wink:

I’m behind ALL of this. Such good ideas. Are you listening capcom? I had no idea that there was such a thing as cable-pool, it really gave me a good laugh and I think it would be an awesome way to troll the cable players.

The only thing I might change is Weapon X wolverine to Snikt! just because I think more people need to read it and the design is pretty awesome imo. Not that weapon X sucks its just that we already have a comic person in plain clothes coming (steve rogers)

I just wish I could see the connection/ping I am going to have with another player in ranked matches. I have gotten in so many matches were it is laggy as hell and can’t and basic combos

While only a small niggle… I’d like to see a complete Move List in the Command List menu in game… Vanilla SF4 style. Dunno why they changed that in Super. Scrolling in the smallest box is a pain in this HD age, not like they don’t have the screen estate…

Does anyone want Charlie to be in this game?

Honestly though, I’m more excited for Marvel’s side than capcom.

That is if Capcom brings the old school guys like Strider and CapCom back. let’s throw in Soki because he has awesome potential, and why not Alex with his combos to air throw with redic damage.

As far as marvel, the Poll pretty much shows people are in the EXTREEEEEEEEEM 90s and want Venom back. Hell just make it Eddie Brock with Anti-Venom pallete swap

on the real though, just give me Bishop, Cable, War Machine, Black Panther, Luke Cage, Dee Jay (he’d be the only charge character that would fit), Blade, DareDevil, Ghost Rider, Samuel L JAckson, and Jean REno. and I will be happy.

I am fine with everything but Ken in that Capcom list. Marvel list is pretty cool too. I guess people don’t like Sigma as much over there

Why?

I think this is one of the reasons people were a bit annoyed that Ken wasn’t in MvC3, it’s not a matter of being a completely separate character, he pretty much is Ryu in a game like this, as well as Akuma. Ken could easily just be a Skin for Ryu with a few different specials and fans would be happy. I still remember the special from X-men vs. Street Fighter…good times.

So yeah, I completely understand the need for diversity and not putting a bunch of shotos in a Marvel game. I believe Ken is purely for fans of the characters and who like his flashy style more than Ryu. It’s complete fan service yes, but then again, it’s not a complicated or costly addition to the series. In fact, I believe Ryu is only still popular in Japan and is the iconic face of Capcom. In a series like this, Ken’s flashy flames fit a lot better.

Either way, my point is, he’s so close to Ryu, all they really have to do is change a few special effects on his moves and tweak his supers/ultras (whatever they are called in this game) and you have another character in the game while not taking any diversity away. In fact, Akuma/Ryu/Ken could’ve all been on the same slot.

can i get a punnisher skin for chris. id like to have seen him on one of the vote lists, but i know he’d play the same

In short. I want some Niggas in this game.

I’d like to see a menu patch to bring in a BB style management of controllers, where you only have to back out to the menu before versus mode to change the players.

Its just so clunky at the moment if you’ve got a mix of stick and pad players, keep having to exit to the start menu or fiddle with controller settings on the xmb every time you want to change players.
