Ah…give him the benefit of the doubt, Milo. The video and the advice I’ve seen from him make me think you’d enjoy fighting his Hawk as much as you like fighting Bob’s (x Kuroppi x).

Obviously, I have fought his T.Hawk. Not even remotely comparable to Bob’s. Bob’s yomi quotient is very high; you know as well as I do that Kuroppi excels at reading his opponent, and that makes fighting his ATTACKING T.Hawk extremely enjoyable, even though he usually hands me my ass. (Also, Bob just has a much better grasp of T.Hawk’s strengths and situational advantages.)
I learned how to beat T.Hawks who stick out normals and essentially wait for tick->grab ops long ago. I’ve already danced that dance, it’s not interesting anymore.
Jiggly’s T.hawk isn’t bad – he’s a good player, and I certainly respect his skills – it’s just not the kind that I like fighting any longer. After fifteen years, I play this game SOLELY to enjoy myself. Turtles bore me.
That, plus he drops when he’s about to lose.

I’m with you on hating having to crack turtle shells, though. Gotta do what you gotta do.
What I do, usually, is just quit before the match starts. Often, if I know my opponent to be the ultra-turtle type, I just leave. Some people like that sort of thing, I don’t.
I do make exceptions for friends (I know personally at least one very good player who turtles all the time) and star players (e.g. DGV, leon0wski).
Believe what you want to believe. I’m not a quitter, and I would never quit the game I love. With that being said, why would I intentionally quit the game, leave the room, then come back in and fight you again? Isn’t the whole point of quitting too avoid you completely?
And Kuroppi isn’t that far away from my Hawk. I turtle too see what you’re up too, then I attack. Your Cammy was beating me because I didn’t see it coming. All the Cammy’s that I fight pose no threat to me. I began to do that against you till I got DC’D, where you had two rounds and I had one. Then I joined again, the fight started, we fought a little bit, then I got DC’D again.
I’ll be more than happy to take you any day of the week Milo. I said it once and I’ll say it again, I don’t quit.

Okay this isn’t true at all. I happen to use ALL of Hawks normals (except J.Forward and the Shoulder Drop) as effectively as I can. I reversal whenever I can see someone’s bad safe jump attempt. If a shoto misses a DP, St.Roundhouse or a Typhoon. If someone is good at reversaling out of my ticks, I cross-up and just grab straight after that.
I’m not saying that Kuroppi doesn’t have a good grasp (he’s really amazing), but I have beaten some very good players (DGV, Thelo’s Honda WITH T.Hawk, damdai, haru tejyo). Someone who can utilize T.Hawk’s abilities to his maximum extent or at least close to it wouldn’t have been able to beat any of those players.

Yes, I know. All turtle T.hawks do that. Once I suspected what kind of player you were, I turtled myself, just to verify. And what happened? You did nothing, because I was sending you no signals. (You may recall my just standing there while you threw out normals and jumped for no reason way on the other side of the screen, shortly after which I won the match.)
That’s just comically boring to me, man.

Once I realized that you weren’t taking any risks by coming at me, I changed my game up a little and ending up winning the next round, then I got DC’D right after that.
You beat me those two rounds because your Cammy caught me off guard. You actually know how to fight with her, unlike the others that I play (Bruce Askew is the only other threatening Cammy I’ve played).
Yeah, Bruce plays her rather well. I might call his the best Cammy on XBL.
Doable Polecat plays a very good Cammy, too (although his style relies more on rote, which he can get away with because he has keen reflexes and spatial sense).
Both of those guys are better than me.
Damn sounds like I’m missing out on all the fun although I do see some names I’ve come across. One thing that I really don’t like is when someone gets a win then sends a little hate mail message like he’s a tough guy. I don’t mind a little advice or a GG’s but don’t try and rub it in it’s not like you never lost a match before. It’s funny I play Chun li and she can be annoying but I don’t get that much hate mail mostly GG’s and wow your good. I’ll always send a GG’s to someone that beats me since I don’t feel their are any true cheats left in HDR just difficult situations to escape.

Brand new hate mail from that loudmouth Lyghts out.
I was in a 6 player room fighting his Sagat, then in the middle of the match I get a random disconnect, then he sends me hate mail calling me a pussy for “Leaving” the room. I tell him countless times that I never ever quit in the middle of a match unless I get a disconnect. I assumed the whole room disconnected as well. But he still obsessively calls me a pussy and a quiter. That dude reminds me of HS1PSYKUP cuz of all the endless shit he talks
I did rage quit on EGGO a couple months ago… pretty much my last one XD. Now I preach the anti-rage quitting lingo ;D. Plus I’ve gotten considerably better against Sim… no need for rage now ;).
